How You Will Spend Your Days

  • Drive and coordinate enterprise IT project releases, small enhancements, bug/fixes, and hotfix releases for our enterprise customer experience application
  • Work closely with IT development, testing & DevOps teams, IT operation teams, and IT project managers to deliver high-quality IT application releases
  • Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities, Plan release windows and cycles across project portfolio
  • Manage release schedules and milestones.
  • Assemble and lead multiple cross-functional teams to support IT application releases of varying size, complexity and duration.
  • Collaborate, communicate and manage release processes across all functions within IT and with business stakeholders
  • Continuously improve release processes.
  • Influence and implement best practices consistent with an agile development methodology.
  • Define and manage release readiness and success criteria based on business requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks and remove obstacles for a release
  • Guide the completion of root cause analysis to ensure issues do not recur.
  • Perform environment planning, provisioning, and management required to support the releases
  • Provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments through ensuring release readiness
  • Coordinate post-release support for business stakeholders
  • Self-starter that keeps the organization in the loop throughout the lifecycle of a ticket or project and speaks up as soon as a problem is detected
  • Monitor the progress of each release; communicate regularly to stakeholders, leadership, and release participants both inside and outside of the organization
  • Track and maintain the IT release calendar that complies with needs of subscribers, partners, and vendors
  • Manage, mitigate, and communicate risks; resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
  • Hold the release community accountable to milestones and deliverables
  • Measure and monitor release progress and relevant KPI's
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

What You Bring to This Role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science
  • Experienced IT Professional with 3-6 years IT Release Management experience in an enterprise IT software development environment
  • Experience overseeing formal release management activities across multiple software/application development teams
  • Working knowledge of code management tools such as BitBucket, GitHub, Subversion and/or other source control tools
  • Strong time management skills with a history of meeting commitments
  • Highly preferred is experience in application development, devops, and software testing lifecycle
  • Experience working with Jira.

Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of $125,000 to $145,000, and eligibility for an annual bonus.
