The Agile Release IT Project Manager will provide execution leadership throughout the lifecycle of Information Technologies projects supporting IT Integration into UHG/Optum for Business Partners. The Agile RM will be actively involved in understanding requirements and solution design for integration projects to allow for successful implementation of solution delivery during the US-night time. Key aspects of managing the implementation execution are troubleshooting, collaboration, issue resolution and proactive communication updates .
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with EEPS Customer Relationship & Implementation Services staff - from technical to executive level - to execute deployment timelines supporting implementation lifecycle across global teams
  • Provide execution leadership tied to infrastructure for internal systems and delivering solutions to customers
  • Plan and partner with Integration Lead (IL) on project deployment timelines and working closely with global project teams
  • Provide concise written communication of deployment status and issues, with regular updates to resolution for visibility and transparency
  • Establish and maintain strong relationship with internal & external customers and 3rd party vendors across global teams
  • Understand project value and impact, aligning to the program and project goals
  • Drive best-practices and documentation in support of repeatable processes
  • Engage with Integration Leads to allow independent support of US-evening cutover/implementation work, such as but not limited to:
    • Untrusted and Trusted data center cutovers
    • Trusted user site cutovers
    • Voice migrations
    • Possible cutovers for FW work or other internal projects
    • Guest Access cutovers
    • B2B tunnel migrations
    • Regional Hub Migrations
  • During non-implementation time, focus on items such as, but not limited to:
    • Build a Communications Repository
    • To be leveraged for status updates and issue resolution
    • Build a Key Contacts Repository
    • For global teams and Business Partner-specific integrations
    • Implementation Plan Revisions
    • Update cutsheets or implementation plans based on real-time experiences
    • Reviewing Rally Kanban Boards
    • Resource for understanding where work is actively updated for global project teams
    • Documentation Updates
    • Support global project team with any administrative updates on current progress (IRAADs Project Plans, Rally Cards, as applicable)
    • Overall Initiative
    • Suggest ideas and ways to offload the work being done by the US-based Integration Leads


General Responsibilities of Integration Leads, with awareness and understanding by Agile Release Manager

  • Finalize detailed integration scope for each workstream
  • Schedule kick-off meetings for Workstreams
  • Oversee day to day work streams - ensure all workstreams are progressing to stay on track
  • Conduit to other non-EEPS teams such as Real Estate, EIS-Security, Enterprise Integration
  • Create and Manage project repository and access
  • Provide workstream status to Engagement Managers
  • Manage overall financial plan for the integration
  • Remove impediments
  • Escalate blockers
  • Provide weekly status updates to EM
  • Run the Project/Oversee task execution
  • Request project resources
  • Initiate requests to required teams
  • Create Project plan and manage completion of tasks, including sub project plans, status calls, working sessions, etc... Drive process and end-to-end plan for each in scope workstream (Security (RBI/STP), Desktop, Email, Network Integration (ECI), Voice. File and Print)
  • Manage equipment orders
  • Resolve/escalate issues
  • Communicating with the designated project team - in Optum Tech IT and business partner IT
  • Manage date expectations

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years or more Project management coordination with understanding of IT Infrastructure space
  • 1 year or more as a Release Manager or Integration Manager
  • Solid process and organizational skills
  • Able to jump in several weeks before System and Network integrations occur
  • Coordinator between Optum Tech and Optum care locations data centers and sites/clinics
  • Create Cutover sheet step by step instructions guide
  • Must juggle 3-4 projects at a time
  • Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, MS Teams, Smartsheet
  • Run MS Teams calls between groups
  • Attend and guide meetings during each step/phase of cutover


Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT infrastructure integrations
  • Agile method work experience
  • Excellent verbal and email communication skills

Colorado or Connecticut Residents Only : The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
