Relationship Manager of Strategic Partnerships

Position Overview
Adhesion’s rapid growth has led to the need to examine, strengthen, and influence custodian and other third-party partnerships to enhance the journey of a newly signed client to bring assets onto the Adhesion platform. The Relationship Manager of Strategic Partnerships role is a new position that will rely on candidate’s abilities to influence, persuade, navigate ambiguity with structured tact, and activate and advocate for new client relationships in onboarding to Adhesion. This role will be responsible for identifying challenges within new client onboarding, critically think and coordinate solutions with custodians, and drive results in faster account aggregation, deeper client integration, and better client experiences. This candidate will be expected to coordinate internal activities between sales, account relationship managers, systems, and service. Examples of these activities include ensuring sales discovery is complete, expectations are achievable and set, custodian and legal requirements are met, new firms are technically configured properly, and investment strategies are made and scaled across accounts.
This role will assume lead on custodian requirements and other strategic partner relationships while also serving as the face of Adhesion for RIA operation staff during initial setup. They will consult to seek process enhancements to our onboarding workflow. Additionally, they will supplement project management with personal contributions as a trainer to our platform. As a trainer, they should be familiar with managed accounts, practice benefits and other key advisory concepts so they may communicate in a professional and credible fashion.
The ideal candidate should have experience managing business to business partnerships, be a confident public speaker, have a track record of driving accountability and results as a project manager, possess a creative yet disciplined process improvement approach, and be well-versed in managed accounts and custodian setup and enrollment processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage onboarding projects to ensure timely AUM on platform after signing initial Adhesion agreement.
- Facilitate handoffs from sales to account managers while ensuring a clients’ onboarding experience is organized, efficient, and welcoming
- Become familiar with custodian processes, requirements, and opportunities to enhance our partnership
- Diagnose stuck deals and process improvement opportunities within our onboarding processes
- Set up the firm/branch profiles and owns operational components in our CRM system
- Assist with training new advisors who just joined Adhesion: acting as their first impression as an Adhesion client
- Support in creation of training strategies, initiatives, and materials
- Coordinate and monitor enrollment, schedules, costs, and equipment
Qualifications:
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree
- Experienced project manager
- Excellent communication skills
- Polished and professional writing style
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Works well in a fast-paced environment, ability to problem solve
- Proficient with Windows and Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint), Salesforce experience preferred
- LEAN and six sigma backgrounds a plus
