Our client is seeking a Program Coordinator to join their team. The selected individual will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating a robust community engagement strategy for identified target area; as well as, coordinating and leading community outreach and educational programming for the target population.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners, recipients, volunteers, and network with local public and private organizations.
  • Initiate, coordinate, implement, and assess special events to increase public awareness and support of programs and services.
  • Plans, organizes, and conducts educational programming and wellness groups to promote health education, risk reduction, and healthy behaviors aimed at improving mental health and overall wellness in the target population.
  • Provide supervision and oversight to assigned program staff.
  • Work to build and maintain a positive and respectful demeanor in contact with staff, clients, and the public.
  • Serve as a connector of program initiatives and ideas to external partners related to immediate needs and long-term sustainability.
  • Ensure compliance with all program and funding requirements.
  • Create, manage, and monitor assigned program budget.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to all funders.
  • Maintain a database of events held that includes attendee information and complete all required reports timely and report metrics quarterly.
  • Maintain and update a work plan in order to provide strategic direction for the development of the position and prepare reports measuring progress.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent in work experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute events.
  • Ability to communicate passionately and engage audiences effectively both verbally and in writing in a multi-cultural and fast-paced setting.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and be able to work with a wide variety of employees, volunteers, community leaders, colleagues, and clients.
  • Flexible schedule (including nights/weekends) to accommodate events.
Working Conditions
  • Office and field setting in all types of weather.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Company cell phone and laptop.
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Occasional lifting of office items, no more than 50 pounds.
