As a Portfolio Manager, you will facilitate a cross-functional team to collect, organize, document, and communicate Project Related information to include scope, requirements, necessary skills, and other project related information during the initiation, planning, execution, and project closure periods. Some of your primary tasks will be to conduct project planning, execution, and control of selected projects on the SMAI roadmap. You will organize information and document solutions in various technologies to include Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office products as well as others as necessary. A Portfolio Manager ensures that the project team has all necessary information for successful execution of project related tasks and deliverables.
As a part of this position, a Portfolio Manager may conduct presentations, end-user training, and provide guidance to team members and external stakeholders as needed. May perform minor to moderate development activities to include resolution of Level 2 (L2) incidents and problems on applications, data streams, or other project related artifacts as needed. As a part of the larger Portfolio Manager team supporting Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence, you will also be responsible for identifying, reporting, and modifying business processes to streamline project execution timelines in combination with other team members.
The ideal candidate is expected to be proficient in understanding and communicating project objectives and outcomes while communicating with business stakeholders. Further, Portfolio Managers are expected to be familiar with the larger SMAI Project Portfolio in order to identify and report overlapping projects and drive conversations to define clear expectations for the technical team.
Broad knowledge and experience in:

  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Understanding Of Big Data Engineering/Processing, Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics
  • Experience With Various project management Frameworks and Processes, Such as Agile
  • Work With Data Scientists to Implement Strategies for Cleaning and Preparing Data for Analysis, To Develop Data Imputation Algorithms, And Optimize Performance Of Big Data And Machine Learning Systems


Familiarity in one or more of the following:

  • Big Data Engineering and Processing Using Cloud Based Architectures
  • Develop ETL / ELT Processing Using Apache Ni-Fi
  • SQL and Databases
  • Programming Skills in Python or Scala
  • Data Analysis and Validation Skills
  • Familiarity In Databases and Data Warehouse Modeling
  • Familiarity In Cloud Based Data Engineering and Machine Learning Models
  • Familiarity In Building API's For Application Integration
