Block Renovation Project Operations Associate

Block democratizes access to high-end design, while combining design, construction, and materials into a streamlined experience. ROLE

A Project Operations Associate improves consistency, quality, and speed of renovations. This role will oversee a portfolio of renovations that need to be delivered on time, within budget, and with a high degree of satisfaction. Renovations are a high stakes experience for homeowners, and a highly detailed process for design and construction professionals. The ideal candidate will leverage their outstanding communication skills and impeccable attention to detail to deliver a high quality renovation experience for both homeowners and contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with homeowners regarding the status and next steps for their project
  • Help homeowners and contractors navigate building approvals and permitting needs
  • Set construction schedules and ensure milestones are being met on time
  • Effectively communicate with contractors to coordinate timelines, deliverables and troubleshoot during the build
  • Review construction outcome photos to ensure quality, and visiting the job site when necessary
  • Triage RFIs and Change Orders from contractors
  • Collaborate internally across sales, design, and procurement to deliver great outcomes
  • Help develop systems, tools and processes to improve project outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of experience in Military, customer service, project management, operations management
  • Construction, home improvement or real estate experience is a plus
  • Tenacity for solving problems and getting things done
  • Active listening skills and ability to de-escalate difficult customer and contractor situations
  • Attention to detail and a systematic approach to completing tasks
  • Strong communication and relationship development skills, both internally and externally
  • Desire to learn quickly and tackle new challenges every day
  • Keen ability to balance priorities to optimize outcomes for clients, contractors, and Block

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Block wants all employees to be supported in their personal and professional development, so we take a comprehensive approach to total rewards. We practice a market-based and performance-driven compensation philosophy which compensates employees fairly and competitively, and rewards strong performance. The base salary range for this position is from $52,000 to $78,000. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for a NY-based position. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
