We seek a Project Manager/Configuration Specialist to support work on our federal client, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC)'s infrastructure operations, maintenance, and support services on site in Washington, DC.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Create, track and report on project timelines
  • Produce and distribute project status for internal and external team members and senior management.
  • Monitor and coordinate efforts of cross-functional project teams and project resources within and outside the organization.
  • Meet with team members on a regular basis regarding project tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Lead problem solving and resolution efforts.
  • Produce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions working with technical SMEs as required.
  • Produce and distribute reports and presentation materials.
  • Prepare and present project information at internal and external meetings.
  • Ensure that work is conducted in compliance with standard processes, policies and procedures and meets project timeline metrics.
  • Maintain internal SharePoint site as a site administrator
  • Conduct configuration audits and maintain CM records
  • Represent program team at Change Control Board meeting for infrastructure configuration changes
  • Provide support to program office for program administrative tasks as required.
  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of IT experiencing with project and configuration management or no degree and 10years

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications, MS project, SharePoint
  • Strong understanding of change control board process
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
