Project Manager
The Digital Operations Technology team is seeking a motivated Project Manager/Scrum Master. This individual will help manage the expansion and growth of our platforms aimed at transforming the way teams leverage these technologies at MassMutual. The Project Manager will be expected to support the management and tracking of product/program delivery, strategic leadership and organization of initiatives, KPIs/metrics, team documentation, and roadmap planning. In addition, the Project Manager will take on broader responsibilities, such as providing input to roadmaps for capacity planning or assisting in consolidating and prioritizing requirements from various groups. The expectation of the Project Manager includes being adept at problem solving, effectively communicating, and having structured thinking.
What your days and weeks will look like.
- Intake various incoming requests from project teams and help prioritize the work with the team.
- Engage with all levels across the enterprise managing relationships and expectations
- Accountable for managing and driving program/ project execution on time and on budget
- Identify, understand, and work to mitigate issues and risks proactively with the project team, business partners, and leadership
- Work with technical leads and product managers to plan, develop technical scope of work, and manage the execution of projects/product changes in response to requirements from stakeholders
- Lead project teams during all phases of the development life cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, pilot, implementation and continuous service
- Facilitate client and project team interactions including scrums, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews, incident management and release management
- Be self-supportive in collaborating with peers to effectively deliver a robust solution for the business
- Serve as a conduit of knowledge between functional and technical teams
- Help with requirement development and technical translation with the team
- Manage budget, timeline, and scope for the platform teams
- Document and organize acceptance criteria for user stories
- Work with product managers to define improvements to business processes, assist decisionmakers in gathering information to make decisions, and help quality assurance test solutions
- Develop plans for continuous service to support implementation of products
- Assist in developing processes and best practices for the team
- Motivate teams to work together, communicate, and deliver
- Navigate ambiguity to deliver results
The skills that make you a great fit.
- 4 years managing and driving the execution of complex projects with vendor interaction.
- Experience with administrative/recordkeeping programs.
- PM Certification (PMP and/or Agile Scrum Master) preferred
- Expert with project management tools and techniques, such as JIRA, Confluence, Scrum and Kanban
- Excellent interpersonal communication, conflict management, coordination, and planning skills with cross-functional teams
- Skilled in applying judgment to balance process compliance with achievement of business objectives
- Project leadership experience focused on engaging others in the delivery and execution of technical solutions and service deliverables
- Ability to assess a project's scope and the team's ability to execute
- Outcome oriented with the ability to drill down from the big picture to process details
- Ability to communicate objectives, plans, status, and results clearly
- Strong leadership skills and influencer
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and organizations
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Solid grasp of software technologies and stacks
- Ability to work east coast hours
- Ability to travel to Springfield, MA as needed.
Target job salary: $80,200.00 - $139,600.00 USD Annual
