Job Description

The PMO is responsible for process definition, guidance on delivery, & data analysis, ensuring compliance to delivery timelines & planned budget, transparency & remediation to key program risk & issues. Defines & maintains standards applicable throughout delivery & w/in the Channels Program Office.  Responsible for governance management, tracking & monitoring, while sustaining delivery for Key & Mandatory Programs, creating transparency for the importance through prioritization.  Helps to achieve better quality, consistency, transparency, & oversight of projects across the program.  Includes practices throughout the full delivery life cycle of projects from planning, initiation, scoping & resourcing, status of execution with monitoring & reporting, assisting w/compliance to tollgates & helping to ensure the completion of delivery.  

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Coordination of Planning, hosting teams to manage the intake process for both planned funding and team allocation through to demand submission and management
  • Assist Financial & Business Management and facilitate as required planning reconciliation while creating transparency to variances and managing actions
  • Provide financial reports, data reconciliation and adjustments to Team Leads and Leadership Team
  • Collaborate with Team Leads and Leadership Team (while facilitating) the definition, prioritization, and development of the scope of Project or Program Outcomes
  • Facilitate and oversee the negotiation and prioritization for scheduling projects while managing to the plan
  • Analyze, maintain, and report financial data, project / program delivery, demand and capacity allocation and reconciliation, project reporting, and risk and issue management
  • Oversee and consolidate progress summary of release deliverables for Coordinated Release Events, facilitate integration of changes while creating transparency, escalate delivery issues, summarized scope for implementation while concluding with management of the post release Command Center
  • Oversee and assess Change Control for both approved plan and scope for the program, in turn facilitating forums to gain consensus of proposed change, following with communication of outcome and decisions
  • Continuously evaluate projects to ensure that they are meeting delivery needs, adhering to plan and remediating risks, monitoring the continuous change with scope and budget
  • Engage as needed or applicable with discussions pertaining to the success of delivery (e.g. environment meetings, risk or issue management, etc.)
  • Provide and maintain a central repository for all planned and demand project data
  • Provide and maintain a central repository for centralized project management functions
  • Provide and complete as required program reporting capabilities and schedules
  • Implement, endorse, and ensure compliance of repeatable processes while providing tools and templates to navigate the processes
  • Draft and support new and improved or refined processes
  • Maintain tools including but not limited to share point GCA Milestone and Demand share points, Status Tracker, Channel’s Integrated Planning Database (Tableau), Change Control and Budget Adjustment forms

Experience:

  • Project management experience, managing multiple projects within a technical and cross functional environment
  • Knowledge and practice of change control management
  • Knowledge and practice of resource management
  • Proven history of managing teams (indirect or direct reports) to meet aggressive deadlines, managing to plan, and utilizing project management methodologies
  • Ability to mentor and effectively transfer expertise to others
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Creative problem solving
  • Effective negotiation skills, while employing diplomacy and sensitivity to resolve critical or escalated issues
  • Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships
  • Comfortable working and driving a highly collaborative environment
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Products (e.g. Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio) and Jira
  • Experience with Oracle & Java
  • Knowledge of Tableau
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalence in work experience with Technology Delivery, Project Management Office, and/or Project Management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), CMMI, or Six Sigma Certifications a plus
