We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with expertise in agile project management and a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget with satisfied clients. This role requires 3+ years of prior software project management experience.

Responsibilities

Our project teams are supported by a PM, Staff Engineer, product designer, and one or more developers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead project management for multiple client projects as an individual contributor project manager
  • Work with stakeholders and partners to determine and define project scope, detailed requirements, and structured delivery plans
  • Lead agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and ticket grooming sessions
  • Collaborate with Staff Engineer to examine sprint boards, backlogs, create tickets, and conduct quality assurance testing
  • Actively monitor project budgets and timelines in order to communicate scope changes and risks to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including working with the Staff Engineer to create Product Requirement Documents
  • Deepen and broaden our relationships with existing clients to surface additional work and add value for clients



Requirements

We are seeking a team-player with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Somebody resourceful and who is an active listener, able to extract both implicit and explicit messages in order to gauge client satisfaction and team performance needs.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have:

  • Agile project management experience for six figure projects and with varying engineering team sizes
  • Prior experience using and managing project management software tools (e.g. Jira, ClickUp, SmartSheet, Harvest etc)
  • Experience supporting and holding others accountable for project based deliverables
  • Experience communicating with clients and engineers; ability to translate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency with developing roadmaps, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, managing a backlog, tracking and estimating project budgets, conducting quality assurance testing, and anticipating client and team needs



Benefits

This position is fully remote and you may work from anywhere in the United States. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited PTO, unlimited sick leave, paid parental leave and a 3% matching SIMPLE IRA program.

Compensation range for this position is $80-$105k for mid level or $100-$120k for senior level. Compensation is based on the applicant's experience.

New employees are allowed a one-time $500 home office set-up allowance. Additionally, every employee is offered $600 annually towards work-from-home expenses.
