Job Summary

An Alert Logic Professional Project Manager is required to join an inclusive and collaborative team, interacting directly with Alert Logic customers to lead them and a team of Alert Logic Security Analysts and Network Engineers through the full deployment lifecycle. This role allows the right candidate to grow within a supportive environment where they can influence the direction of the team and their own development. A demonstrable background in leading projects across the full project lifecycle and experience of using project scheduling and reporting tools is required for this role.

This is a consultative position, which involves direct interaction with customers to manage both the customer and Alert Logic technical teams to reach the in-scope security outcomes. A strong knowledge of the Alert Logic products and services is required to ensure the Project Manager (level II) can understand the customers' business goals, translate those goals into project activity, manage customers' needs responsively, and direct their project teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage ~15 deployment projects with varying scope simultaneously and effectively
• Work with customers to define the project scope and goals and build detailed project plans to achieve them
• Take full responsibility for the project goals and pro-actively manage the project delivery to ensure on-time deployment to a high quality for both the customer and Alert Logic
• Coordinate internal and external teams of security analysts and network engineers and guide them in determining how to achieve the project goals
• Carry out stakeholder communication on project progress on a regular basis via multiple means including excellent quality reporting
• Build goodwill with the customer and ensure that they arrive at the desired security outcomes with a high standard of customer satisfaction
• Use the appropriate tools to maintain rigorous project control of project constraints, risks, dependencies, scope, actions and schedule with supporting records
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of the Alert Logic products and services to use to train the customer to get the best out of their service
• Predict issues and risks before they arise and utilize escalation pathways to manage
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading multi-phased projects, ideally transitioning customers to service in a matrix environment
• Minimum of 3 years in customer service/facing industries
• Proven experience of key project management skills on complex, dynamic, fast-paced projects, adapting on the fly to respond to roadblocks without losing momentum
• Strong analysis skills, ability to evaluate requirements and modify existing solutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build constructive and effective relationships inside and outside of Alert Logic
• Dedication to customer service and ability to problem solve and proactively manage project risk and urgency to make timely decisions
• Ability to motivate and influence customers and 3rd parties to deliver on dependencies to ensure project outcomes
• Excellent time management skills and ability to independently manage multiple conflicting draws on time, prioritizing the most important tasks
• Willingness to gain and maintain a strong knowledge of all Alert Logic products and services
• Willingness to adapt to the challenge of new of unfamiliar tasks and responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Have a bright, inquiring mind and a strong drive to learn and evolve

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Working knowledge of web applications, information security compliance, cloud environment architecture is advantageous, but not essential

Education

• Minimum educational requirement is bachelor's degree
• Formal Project Management qualification such as PMP / Prince 2 / APM / ITIL Transition
