How you'll make an impact
The Project Manager of Product is a critical role joining Xero at an important phase in our journey. Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, you will lead the delivery of our most important strategic initiatives, supporting product, sales, marketing & operations.
You will manage the end to end GTM rollout of Xero product enhancements. This will involve comprehensive stakeholder management across our US GTM leadership and global teams. Requirements of this role include but are not limited to: ensuring enablement engagement to get sales teams trained and clear on product value prop, education engagement for partner training materials, marketing engagement for communications and campaigns, and much more!
All this work will be in alignment with global project management mechanisms to ensure consistency across all regions. It is crucial that this role has comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of the Xero product, and can articulate technical projects back to our GTM teams in a digestible manner.

What you'll do

    • Provide cross functional leadership of key global strategic initiatives in-region by driving team cohesion and effectiveness
    • Build clear and compelling insights to help inspire and inform cross functional delivery teams
    • Manage expansive information across complex global product initiatives
    • Simplify detail oriented projects into digestible components that are most impactful to our US Region and GTM Teams
    • Play an important role in contributing to the development of our regional strategy
    • Collaborate with Global Product Leadership to give feedback from the US Region and communicate risks within the US that could be impacted by Global Initiatives
    • Scope, manage and execute projects that align with Xero's priorities Plan, to a detailed level, projects from inception to go-liveIdentify critical dates in the plan
    • Track, manage and report status on all projectsIdentify resources required to deliver the project and any resource gaps if any
    • Raise risks and issues plus the effective management of them
    • Manage stakeholders for the project with effective levels of engagement
    • Collaborate with other project managers where there are project dependencies
    • Effective management of any project budget
    • Resolve problems and roadblocks with the ability to analyze options

    • Delivery of region specific and globally aligned strategic initiatives
    • Clear articulation of US market dynamics and requirements for successful global roll-outs
    • End to end management of business critical projects (i.e. new product launches) and communication between the US Region and Global counterparts
    • Exceptional internal feedback - you will be seen as someone who collaborates widely and can get stuff done!

What you'll bring with you - Experience

    • 2 years experience in commercial, operational or product role
    • Led complex projects across and within a matrix environment
    • Agile and Lean Project Management experience
    • Experienced in leading direct and cross functional teamsExposure to product led environments
    • Held senior roles delivering large scale business projects
    • Comfort wearing multiple hats and managing complex demands from across the business
    • Exposure to service and process design
    • Brings experience working in SaaS / technology environment
