Cisco Meraki is seeking a project manager to help evolve the SW Engineering Operations team’s processes and operations. This individual must have a solid understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks, experience achieving high quality and timely project outcomes, strong collaboration, and experience in managing multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
The project manager will partner with SW Engineering team members, Product Management, and other areas on projects that optimize collaboration, streamline operations, and communicate our strategic direction. This position will report to the Software Eng Operations Manager and help build out the Operations team within Meraki’s Software Engineering organization. This is a unique opportunity to join a small team with a massive capacity for impact across a global SW Engineering organization.
You Will:
- Determine and define project scope with clear objectives
- Facilitate collaboration across teams and lead discussions with project stakeholders on requirements, timelines, goals, and resourcing
- Apply project management best practices and frameworks to develop effective and efficient project plans
- Proactively report on project status, risks, budget and milestones to relevant organizational leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure project quality and timelines align with strategic and cross-functional goals, objectives, and priorities
- Coordinate internal resources in assembling projects teams based on needed skills, perspectives, and technical expertise
- Manage and communicate changes to the project scope
- Establish ongoing management of project implementation as needed
You Have:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with ability to communicate ideas
- Demonstrated project management expertise
- Knowledge of project management principles/methodologies and tools (Jira)
- Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with attention to detail
- Highly diplomatic with the ability to work optimally with people at all levels in an organization
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to prioritize among multiple workstreams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Bachelor's degree
