The Opportunity

Let's Talk! If you are a critical thinker who has project management experience, this may be the job for you. As a Senior (Sr) Analyst on the Strategic Initiatives team, you will be responsible for driving improvements in business capabilities and results through managing and deploying strategic initiatives/projects. This includes gathering and documenting requirements from project teams and stakeholders. By leading project teams, you will develop project task lists and maintain project plans and other project materials. You will facilitate the strategic initiatives project life cycle from the project intake process through project closure. As a leader of projects, you will be responsible for developing and communicating project status and risk mitigation plans to stakeholders and leadership. A successful candidate will develop, lead and collaborate with cross functional teams working to achieve results meeting budgetary objectives while being delivered on time. We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter and can complete projects and other ad hoc assignments with limited direction. The Sr Business Analyst will also serve as a project/peer mentor for other project managers on the project team as well as educate the lines of business on the project management process. This candidate will proactively engage in multiple projects and utilize critical thinking skills and analytics to recommend solutions.

The Work Itself

  • Gather and organize project requirements from stakeholders
  • Perform project management functions to deploy strategic initiatives
  • Develop task lists and project plans to deploy quality solutions on time
  • Communicate project status updates and risks to stakeholders and leadership
  • Meet budgetary objectives by adjusting project scope/constraints
  • Develop, lead and collaborate with cross-functional working team to achieve results
  • Proactively engage in projects with thought leadership to recommend solutions
  • Facilitate strategic initiatives life cycle (intake, planning, prioritization, ownership, etc.)
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings with partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to self-motivate and complete additional work with limited direction
  • Perform special projects/assignments as needed
  • Serve as a project/peer mentor for other PMs on the project team



The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (Business, Project/Program Management or related discipline)
  • 6+ years gathering project requirements
  • 6+ years managing simple to complex projects
  • 6+ years developing task lists and project plans
  • 6+ years leading diverse project teams and communicating with stakeholders
  • 6+ years meeting budgetary objectives related to projects
  • Advanced working experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio)
  • Advanced oral communication skills
  • Advanced written communication skills
  • Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure
  • Deliver on our commitments (high say/do ratio)
  • Commitment to quality, thorough approach, and pride in what we deliver
  • Passion for getting work done despite obstacles and setbacks

Preferred

  • Master's degree (Business, Project/Program Management or related discipline)
  • Experience in consumer financing industry (auto, mortgage, etc.)
  • Experience leading projects for multiple Auto Servicing processes such as Credit, Funding, Collections, Repossessions, or Recovery operations
  • Advanced working experience with PM software
  • Project management training/certification (PMP or equivalent)
