We're on the hunt for an awesome new Project Manager to join our technical team during a particularly exciting time to join our business! 

Working with our technical team, you will manage a variety of projects involving software development, platforms, upgrades and content/graphical authoring tools. You will be responsible for managing scope, budget and schedule as we deliver high quality products and experiences. Adding value to each phase of a project, you will work closely with solution architects, software engineers, account managers and consultants, supporting our customers as a trusted delivery partner. In this role you will understand production best practice and be keen to continue your own learning journey.

 Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with other project leads, manage the collaboration of the project team to develop high quality solutions that are fit for purpose and achievable within the budget and schedule
  • Take responsibility for the creation of essential project documentation, such as the Project Initiation Document, the Risks & Opportunities Register, and the Project Schedule. Identify and help facilitate creation of any other essential project documentation, such as the Design Solution, Technical Specification, Scoping Document, Scripts and Retrospectives
  • Facilitate daily stand ups (internal and client facing), weekly status meetings across multiple projects and teams,
  • Work in Jira to manage day to day priorities, workloads and client deliverables
  • Work with the Product Owner to map out delivery roadmap, updating where necessary for frequent changes to priorities
  • Assist Solution Architects running requirements sessions for new services
  • Create project proposals, cost estimates, invoice schedules and manage work order form process
  • Unblocking bottlenecks and dependencies from the technical team and work with them to resolve these
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Creating sprint plans with the development team
  • Running monthly support sprint, allocate resource and manage Jira board in line with selected priorities
  • Provide regular written reports to the customer on progress, risks, milestones and invoicing status, and maintain regular contact by telephone
  • Ensuring that QA/QC process are followed and activities are carried out in line with our ISO 9001-accredited quality management system
  • Focus on commercial aspects, meeting revenue and profitability targets whilst achieving project objectives, maintaining schedules and levels of quality
  • Maintain all systems related to project governance and financial controls in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ability to proactively mitigate risk and overcome anticipated barriers to implementing solutions 
  • Adept at resourcing, planning and scheduling 
  • Adept as managing quality processes and documentation
  • Enthusiastic about excellent quality and excellent product delivery
  • Team player that enjoys collaborating with colleagues
  • Able to adapt to changes and make decisions quickly
  • Able to identify lessons learned and share these with the business

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Digital agency and software development experience essential
  • Proven record of delivering successful software development projects is essential
  • 3-5 years project management experience - will need to understand when Waterfall, Agile or another methodology is the best approach
  • SCRUM qualification preferable
  • Proven record of managing end to end project cycle - including financials - knowing the difference between markup and margin, profit and revenue
  • Client facing experience, delivering plans with confidence and clarity
  • Experience of working with Jira and Confluence tools
  • G Suite experience - Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides and Hangouts - and being confident using them is important
  • Microsoft Office suite including MS Project
  • Resource planning experience managing multiple resources 
  • Proven quality management skills - will need to retain ISO certification
  • Jira and Confluence experience is a plus
  • Industry knowledge - understanding of digital learning in the learning & software development field is a plus
