Summary

The Marketing Project Manager's primary objective is to oversee a suite of Marketing owned projects by working closely with project sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure successful project delivery meeting all business needs, project requirements, and deadlines. The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for creating and managing project schedules, identifying, and mitigating project risks, identifying, and resolving project issues, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring project outcomes are delivered successfully.

General Responsibilities

  • Drive project leadership to define the high-level strategy, establish deliverables, and set achievable goals for each stage of the project.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish project KPIs that track project quality, delivery, and predictability.
  • Create and maintain all project tracking tools:
  • Project schedule
  • Status reports
  • Risk, Issues, Actions, and Decision trackers
  • Analyze project risks and develop mitigation plan with project team.
  • Establish project communication plan with team and key stakeholders and ensure proper execution of said plans.
  • Ensure coordination of efforts of all cross functional team members in consultation with Project sponsor/project stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain a highly cooperative environment and foster collaboration across all areas.
  • Submit project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to quality standards.
  • Conduct post project closure and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to improve and promote success on future projects.
  • Support in-person and virtual event management by working with internal teams, 3rd party vendors, and handling administrative work.
  • Assist with lead-flow process and tracking in OneCRM/Pardot


General Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Project Management, Business, or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience (5 preferred) overseeing multiple, large-scale projects as the project lead.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with and supporting internal/external marketing services ranging from; digital media, consumer insights, messaging, creative, account management, analytics, and identify management.
  • Experience and knowledge of higher education industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and activities, including Smartsheet, Office 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and/or Agile certification (CSM, PMI-ACP) is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex large-scale projects under significant constraints using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High degree of personal ownership and accountability to consistently deliver results in a fast paced and high-profile environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
