The Playback Services team is responsible for video streaming and delivering content to our customers and is a key part of Peacock's technology, success, and future. The Project Manager, Playback Services, will be responsible for the successful delivery of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) initiatives, supporting the Playback Quality team. This position requires effective communication, influencing, and project management skills, along with a keen ability to understand technology principles and agile delivery. Also important is the ability to establish and maintain key relationships within business and technology groups, as well as interact with diverse stakeholders and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and own the QA work intake process, and the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of Playback Quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with PMO and release management teams to ensure consistent and accurate definition of acceptance criteria, testing plans, level of effort estimates, and timelines.
- Partner with the Playback Quality engineering leaders to develop, maintain, and deliver strategic roadmaps.
- Cross-team collaboration not only within Playback QA services team, but also with e2e PMO QA support.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans and QC delivery schedules to monitor and track progress, effectively prioritizing critical path activities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Assist the QA team in capacity planning, resource management, and work prioritization.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, opportunities, dependencies and develop plans to escalate and mitigate them.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, dashboards, and reports.
- Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts to the schedule.
- Partner with engineering leaders to identify and report against critical milestones, and report on challenges, supporting stakeholder communications and delivery status.
- Establish, foster, and manage strong working relationships with stakeholders and teams.
- Drive continuous improvement, retrospectives and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in leading complex technology focused projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to coordinate remote cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency with various project management scheduling tools, Agile methodologies, and Agile management tools.
- Experience with creating project dashboards and status reports.
- Deep understanding of the software/product development lifecycles, QA processes, and release management.
- Demonstrated experience with conflict resolution across functions and various teams.
- Demonstrated understanding of a variety of Risk Management tools and procedures.
- Experience managing Project Governance for projects as a PMO.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI tooling.
