Under minimal supervision of the Director, Project Management of Platform Engineering, the Project Manager, plans, organizes, and manages all phases of assigned projects within the Platform Engineering teams. He/she has primary
accountability for developing effective project plans, managing cross functional teams, and delivering on the project objectives, and scheduleThis is accomplished by applying the knowledge of project management tools and
processes towards project activities, combined with the skills and abilities to guide a diverse team to achieve a common goal.

Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
• Effectively applies knowledge of project management and agile processes / tools, particularly as they are applied in infrastructure projects, leads multiple projects varying in sizes, including project planning, project
direction, project tracking and control, and project deliverables by:

  • Defining project tasks, work breakdown structures, and interdependencies, formulating plans for expected performance, and assigning tasks to team members
  • Developing Risk assessments and mitigations, and monitoring Risk Management plans
  • Tracking, monitoring, and reviewing project team performance against objectives
  • Tracking, monitoring, and reviewing all assigned projects

• Ensure satisfaction and quality of deliverables by:

  • Working with management to forecast resource demands and task completion
  • Directing the formulation of the management plan for the project to meet contract requirements using the best available tools
  • Ensuring adherence to service levels while maintaining positive and referenceable relationships
  • Managing project changes, communicating/justifying changes to appropriate management, and managing the related execution of prescribed project charge control procedures


• Serve as primary contact between clients and stakeholders throughout the project by:

  • Fully understanding the goals and objectives of each project and the business need(s) driving those objectives
  • Communicating expectations/objectives clearly and continuously to team members and stakeholders
  • Articulating and representing issues and obstacles faced by the project team
  • Managing development of technical resolutions
  • Developing communication plans and managing resource plans
  • Reporting project progress to appropriate management


• Leads and escalates all major technology incidents

  • Determining resource requirements, selecting team members and coordinating support functions.
  • Continue to escalate until the agreed outcomes are achieved
  • Tracking, monitoring and reviewing until incident is resolved
  • Auditing the status of technology incidents


• Create and maintain Incident Resolution Plans

  • Create a resolution plan detailing the approach to be taken to resolve the incident.
  • Document Incident Resolution Plan details. Include details of people involved, actions required (including testing and recovery activities), risk and impact implications and any change requirements
  • Managing project changes, communicating/justifying changes to appropriate management and managing the related execution of prescribed project charge control procedures.



Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or related area• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in project management• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus• Intermediate to Advanced experience with MS Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal)• Ability to effectively manage aspects of a project, including planning, monitoring, project tracking, and project deliverables• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of people; demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams towards common objectives• Ability to develop valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action• Advanced problem-solving and root cause analysis skills• Detail oriented with a capability of achieving results• Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
