We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a solid working background in telecommunications and technology. Your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline.

This role is a remote position and open to anyone in the continental US. Apogee is based in Austin, TX.

Here's the role:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to determine project requirements, organize resources, develop detailed project plans, and create schedules.
  • Manage the client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Conduct comprehensive surveys at client sites or construction sites to document current customer network infrastructure or construction status.
  • Anticipate, identify, and manage changes to the initial SOW.
  • Implement requisite change management processes with the client and internal teams.
  • Identify risks and mitigate any realized risk impacts to the project.
  • Create vendor RFQs that define project scope, technical requirements, schedules, and determine high-level estimates.
  • Plan the agenda and schedule any recurring internal and customer-facing meetings during project implementation to monitor and control project plans and status.
  • Manage project budgets, sales orders, purchase orders, expenses, and contracts.
  • Provide reliable and timely project updates to the client, project teams, and leadership that efficiently communicates the project status and exhibits professional project management.



Requirements

This role can be performed anywhere in the United States or based out of our Austin, TX office. Apogee does not provide relocation assistance.

  • PMP Certification or qualified to complete the PMP within one year of employment.
  • Three to five years as a Project Manager in a customer-facing role
  • Specific business knowledge within the Telecommunications Industry
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, initiatives, activities, or project teams simultaneously
  • Skilled in managing people and processes across geographically diverse locations.
  • Proven communication and leadership ability across all levels of an organization, including Executive and C-level
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, Teams, Project, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • You'll use your hands to type, use power tools. You'll stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and due to the need to review client sites, you may have to step over, climb or balance around obstacles, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Our equipment can be heavy, and you'll need to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel within the US will be required throughout the year and then during the peak season (Summer to early Fall), up to 50%.
  • You must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • You must also pass a criminal background check to work on any of our customer's properties.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with NetSuite and ServiceNow (ITBM) or similar financial and PPM tools
  • Experience with Cisco, Aruba, Dell, and Ruckus networking equipment
  • Experience managing large infrastructure new installations and refreshes that include; data networks (wired & wireless), and/or CATV
  • Knowledge of basic construction: Telco, power, fiber, other vendor equipment requirements, dishes, and antennas
  • Ability to read and analyze construction documents
