The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle. The incumbent is responsible for assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing the project plan, schedule, and budget to ensure timely completion of projects. During project execution, the incumbent is also accountable for managing issues and risks, facilitating change requests, maintaining project financials, and providing status reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Facilitate definition of project scope, and manage to objectives, budget, schedule, resources, and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Create and execute project plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while following BP&T SDLC methodology
  • Ensure project documents are complete, up-to-date, and stored appropriately
  • Works with Program Managers or Project Manager on Cost Benefit Analysis and completion of approval processes for ITG and IT Business Advisory Board review through required phase gates of project
  • Communicate project status and updates
  • Mentor project managers and junior project team members
  • Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • PMP Certification (required)


TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS:

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • General knowledge of business and IT systems
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with MS Project, Workbench, or related tool
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO JOB:

  • Applies technical/procedural requirements of the position based on knowledge and experience within specialization
  • Ability to attract, lead, motivate, and retain a team
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail


EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-8 years relevant experience.
  • Experience managing multiple projects of low to moderate risk


MANAGEMENT:

  • Previous experience delivering IT products and services
  • Previous experience working in a large organization, professional services firm or CPA firm
  • Experience managing multiple projects of moderate to high risk
  • Ability to support, affect, and implement change
  • Ability to impact and influence a diverse population


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Previous project or team management experience
