This position offers a high profile career opportunity in a global team managing PayPal's outsourcing partners supporting more than 20 markets globally with sites across 5 continents with a total of 3,500 outsourced employees. The Vendor Relations and Location strategy team has full visibility and impact across all 3 regional hubs. The candidate will manage and implement strategic projects with direct visibility for the PayPal Global OPS Leadership team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage strategic site implementation projects and coordinate large internal and external cross-functional teams (e.g. IT, Training, Information Risk Mgmt, BCP, Compliance, Legal and others) to ensure partner sites launch on time, on quality, on budget
  • Support partner selection, contract negotiation and contract change request management
  • Support Global Partner Mgmt Team and Global Outsourcing Partners in regards to resolving both short-term tactical as well as long term strategic challenges
  • Support global IT projects both inhouse and in our partner network

SPECIFIC DUTIES
Site stand ups

  • Gather requirements from leadership for new language, skill or market requests; carry out an analysis including site visits if required and provide a recommendation back to leadership with a plan to implement
  • Program manage the stand up and/or ramp down of both partner and inhouse sites
  • Develop implementation plan and execute outsourcing site implementation projects or scope extensions of new work types at current sites on time, on budget, on quality while ensuring continuous transparency for all stakeholders regarding project progress and escalation of risks/issues as appropriate
  • Proactively work to resolve potential conflicts, issues and risks associated with the project
  • Assist and provide Subject Matter Expertise to other teams outside of GCS in the set up and implementation of partner site stand ups

Location strategy

  • Help with the crafting of the customer service location strategy including the implementation of that strategy

IT projects

  • Provide Project management support to the roll out of IT projects both internal to PayPal and external in our partner world eg Krisp, Azure, Yubikeys etc

Contract discussions

  • Support partner contract management - both for new partner contracts and amendments/extensions of existing partner contracts - opportunity to strengthen commercial and negotiation skills
  • Assist in any RFPs that are taking place in GCS for partners

Future of Work

  • Be involved in helping to craft and implement the future of work strategy and the projects around the implementation of these

REQUIREMENTS
Education

  • Minimum of BA/BS degree (Business, Marketing, Informatics or similar) with excellent results - internal candidates with strong track record will be considered even though formal requirement may not be met
  • Project/Process Management Qualification desired but not mandatory if candidate has proven track record of strong project mgmt capabilities
  • Minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience in a fast paced customer service, CRM or IT environment
  • Second European language an advantage

  • Ability to work effectively in an environment which is at times undefined and ambiguous. Some projects have never been done before and this role will be to think of how to do it
  • Strong technical / IT knowledge or a want to learn more in this space

This role will require the ability to maintain NA working hours and has the opportunity to be remote for the right candidate.
