Project Manager - Jira Administration

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager with deep expertise in Jira and Confluence Cloud administration to streamline and optimize our Jira setup for our Product and Engineering organizations. This role will be an integral part of our PMO to implement and streamline our tooling according to our product development lifecycle. The right candidate will have a passion for taking our process designs and translating them into optimized Jira workflows and Confluence reporting that ultimately save time for our Product and Engineering teams.

Role Highlights

• Work with the VP of Program Management on implementation of streamlined screens, workflows, fields, and schemes.
• Analyze and understand our current setup of our Product & Engineering Jira products to identify additional areas of improvement.
• Work across the PMO to mature our Jira reporting, dashboards, and Jira - Confluence connections.
• Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in Jira and Confluence
• Construct Confluence pages and integrate Jira projects with Confluence pages to improve transparency and communication of project status across each squad.
• Utilize Jira Automation tools to automate repetitive tasks and automatically update fields.
• Partner with Program Management to run pilots of new Jira and Confluence features and add-ons, measuring pilot outcomes for go/no-go decisions, and developing training materials and running training sessions for end-users.
• Roll out Jira Plans, Squad team roadmaps, and User story mapping across all product engineering teams.
• Write custom JQL (Jira Query Language) to pull custom sets of data, create filters, and develop custom reports.
• Manage Product & Engineering Jira projects, developing standards and consistency across teams.
• Work with Customer Support on optimizing our defect management process between Zendesk, Jira, and Google Sheets.
• Manage User Groups and permissions settings, improving Jira and Confluence space security.
• Communicate and share knowledge across the organization on Jira administration and proper usage.
• Manage Jira integrations with existing and new tools e.g. integration with product management, workforce management and financial tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Jira Administrator with experience customizing Jira projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
• Deep knowledge of Agile practices (Scrum & Kanban) and how to facilitate the usage of these practices using Jira & Confluence
• Deep experience with setting up Jira and Confluence for agile teams, including proper setup and usage of Jira Agile Reports
• Experience delivering Jira data cleansing and data migration projects to improve data quality
• Experience using Jira Plans
• Experience with coaching and training teams on Jira and Confluence practices
• Expert in writing JQL queries; experience with ScriptRunner a plus
• Experience working with highly technical cross functional teams
• Experience with Google Drive, Slack, Zoom
• Strong analytical and dependency awareness skills
• Atlassian Certifications - ACP or other preferred
