Project Manager II

At Omnicell, we're hiring Project Manager II to manage multi-solution implementation projects. Reporting to the Manager, Professional Services PMO the Project Manager II will manage the overall project success to include the communication, timelines, scope and work closely with the onsite execution team members. Reporting overall project status to leadership, following, and using the PMO's processes, standards, and templates. Demonstrated understanding with PMI standards, required knowledge with PM tools and works with the management team to develop and incorporate project management best practices into the overall methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for carrying out strategic initiatives as it pertains to small to medium scale, medium complexity projects
  • Develop, if appropriate, monitor and control project plans for multiple, small to medium engagements and coordinate all project efforts to successful completion within cost, schedule, and quality meeting client expectations
  • Build and foster cross functional relationships and establish a deep understanding of specialty and advance product solution processes
  • Develop schedules, allocate resources, and monitor/control all aspects of a project. (scope, budget, time, resources, etc.)
  • With support from Sr. PM, Program Manager, and PMO Manager plan and manage projects with multiple omnicell solutions
  • Work with Sr. PMs and Program Managers to incorporate project management best practices into overall methodology
  • Manages and maintains customer relationship throughout the life of the project. Coordinates and manages project execution tasks
  • Demonstrate effective presentation skills and written communication skills and actively participates in meetings
  • Reports overall project status to PMO management, following and using PMO's processes, standards, and templates
  • Primary POC for all internal/external project communication
  • Supports Program Manager and Sr Project Manager as assigned
  • Present and communicate Kickoff, Discovery, Status Review, Lessons Learned meetings
  • Manage customer escalations and difficult conversations
  • Monitor and track project revenue, and oversee project tasks; manage all project resources and coordinate project effort with all project stakeholders


Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments with strong attention to details
  • Exceptional ability to understand, listen actively and communicate (verbal and written) effectively in a diverse environment
  • Ability to work with clients at different levels
  • Ability to respond effectively to shifting priorities to meet customer and management demands and expectations
  • Ability to plan, execute and control risk management
  • Work independently with little supervision


Basic Qualifications

  • PMP Certification
  • Minimum four years' project management experience
  • Minimum one year of experience working within the healthcare field
  • Proficient w/ the PMO process and multi-solution projects (POC, CRX, IV, Intelligence)
  • Demonstrated successful communication and proactive risk management and mitigation
  • Demonstrates soft skills in their problem-solving technique, using available tools to create a positive project experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree


Work Conditions

  • Minimum 60% domestic travel
  • Work across multiple time zones
  • Extended hours in front of a computer and using video technology
  • Must be willing and able to support work during non-business hours, including weekends and holidays as customer needs dictate
  • Standing/sitting for prolonged periods of time may be required
  • Position may require fair degree of physical activity and motion, to include pushing, pulling, kneeling, stopping, and bending frequently
