The EDML (Enterprise. Data. Machine Learning.) organization delivers exceptional technology, products, services and processes to support our Data and Machine Learning ecosystems and core functions that support holistic operations for Capital One as an enterprise. EDML consists of 5 towers: Center for Machine Learning (C4ML), Risk Tech, Finance Tech, People Tech, Enterprise Data Tech, and a Horizontal Chief of Staff office supporting all of the towers. We have approximately 1,600 associates in the EDML organization located across various geographies including Richmond, McLean, New York City, Boston, San Francisco, and Plano.
Role Summary:
As a member of the EDML Chief of Staff team you will be aligned to a specific EDML tower to help lead, facilitate, and execute on a variety of our organization’s goals. You will drive results with a customer first perspective as a key principle to prioritization and planning. You will promote and cultivate our people, our talent and our company culture, supporting culture and DIB-related initiatives. You will own important and exciting deliverables from day one, requiring strong relationships with smart and passionate leaders across the company to develop necessary strategic partnerships and simplify the delivery and execution of the organization and company goals. You will be challenged to excel and lead alongside the brightest talent in the industry and be rewarded for your achievements.
Projects may include communications support, training and certification tracking, recruiting prioritization, supporting organizational OKRs, and driving culture and recognition. These efforts will require interactions, facilitation, and influencing across all levels and the project manager will be expected to take efforts from planning through execution and reporting.

Success in this role will require building rapport and credibility with multiple stakeholders across the organization so excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and leadership skills will be critical. The candidate must be agile and flexible in fast-changing, undefined situations, and in an “every day is different” type of environment.
Responsibilities:
Partner across the broader EDML organization and / or specific tower organization you support to ensure project alignment, dependencies and execution plans are vetted and achievable.
Be a force-multiplier driving the effectiveness of the team.
Drive action plans for horizontal projects as well as execute and report out on tracking and status, always considering continuous improvements and improved efficiencies .
Partner closely with the Chief of Staff team & our key partner teams (Finance, Cyber, HR, etc) to support and drive horizontal project work.
Support timely delivery of monthly and quarterly deliverables related to regulatory requirements.
Help develop and deliver a communications and engagement strategy that will support the Finance Tech vision, goals, and objectives to include crafting and executing on departmental communications, engagement events, and furthering the Finance Tech brand to our internal and external stakeholders.
Deliver ad hoc requests to support the needs and priorities of EDML and Finance Tech

Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of project or program management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of project or program management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification
