Project Manager-CS PMO Summary:

Outstanding opportunity to join our growing Consulting Operations team, working for RSM, THE First Choice Advisor to the Middle Market. In this role you'll use many skills, including project management, business analysis, and process improvement to lead a variety of strategic consulting projects. Examples of projects include strategy development, IT and business operational assessment, software selection, business analysis, process improvement, operational improvements and technology maximization. You will be accountable to executive leadership for planning, management and execution of all aspects of the project lifecycle. Your role is to continue to push the project to meet the desired goals, and wear the many hats that may be needed to accomplish this!

Locations considered include Minneapolis, Cedar Rapids, Chicago, Kansas City, Tampa

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, multi-work stream programs and projects
  • All engagements require process analysis, project management skills and the ability to work in collaborative team
  • Facilitate definition of project scope and objectives, manage budget, schedule, resources, and deliverables that support business goals
  • Identify and manage project risks/issues. Recognize and determine the appropriate corrective action to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope
  • Identify activities as either in or out of scope as they relate to the project activities
  • Create and execute project plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Identify and execute appropriate communication methods to meet stakeholder and leadership needs on the accurate status of a project
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Partner with IT, Marketing, Service Line Operations and other areas of the business to continually make progress on project activities
  • Facilitate change management planning and support the rollout of new projects and programs
  • Work to provide analysis, development and documentation of improvement opportunities; this may include implementation and training components
  • Complete projects effectively and efficiently and maintaining a high level of proficiency


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 - 8 years of project management experience
  • Microsoft Office skills (SharePoint, Project, OneNote)
  • Experience leading complex projects and programs
  • Basic understanding of IT application lifecycle and methods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to create effective documents and review them with key project stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience delivering Information Technology and/or Consulting Services
  • Previous experience working in a large organization, professional services firm or CPA firm
  • Experience with any or all of the following highly desirable: ERP, CRM, financial reporting, portal, accounting systems
  • Previous experience using Smartsheets or similar tool
  • Experience managing multiple projects of moderate to high risk
  • Ability to support, affect, and implement change
  • Ability to impact and influence a diverse population
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
