Are you looking to further your career in Project Management? Kemper is seeking a Project Coordinator to work on our Corporate Systems PMO team.


Partnering with IT and multiple lines of business, you will work with an exceptional team of program and project managers to execute and deliver IT business value in support of Kemper's mission and strategic objectives. You will be responsible for supporting program managers in large initiatives, through documentation and project deliverables, meeting preparation support and at times running daily stand-up meetings. You will participate in the work involved in incorporating new and legacy technologies to implement changes that contribute to the organization's success. In this role, you will help execute PMO strategy and develop your skills through practical application in the leadership and coordination of various initiatives. Your excellent communication - written and verbal, relationship management, analytic abilities and organizational skills will be critical in working closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver critical change to the enterprise. Being pro-active, thinking outside the box to resolve issues and supporting the operations team will help the Corporate IT PMO deliver first class services. This position will be physically located at our Jacksonville office once it is deemed safe to return.


  • 1+ years of Project support experience
  • Must have Office 365, SharePoint, Excel (preferable experience with pivot tables and writing scripts), PowerPoint expertise
  • Requires excellent writing, presentation, and communications skills
  • Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and time management skills are required.
  • ServiceNow experience preferred for PPM
  • Resource allocation, reporting knowledge with analytical skills a strong plus
  • Knowledge of software project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines preferred
  • Experience with Jira or Confluence preferred, not mandatory
  • Insurance company experience a plus
  • Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent related work experience
  • Any experience in either hosting training sessions or building a training module is a plus
  • Comfortable building relationships throughout the organization.
