Job Description

As a Project Manager for Pearson Higher Education's B2B Marketing team, you'll work with a diverse, cross-functional team to bring to market sales enablement assets and B2B marketing campaigns that position Pearson to win market share and grow revenue. In this role, you'll be responsible for end-to-end project management of campaign activities throughout the campaign life cycle - from kickoff to planning to execution to measurement to optimization.

The ideal candidate is someone with project management experience, an ownership mindset, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse set of cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the success of sales enablement and marketing campaigns. A successful Project Manager on the B2B Marketing team is someone who:

  • Exceeds stakeholder expectations and requirements to ensure satisfaction with the project management service and campaign outputs
  • Establishes and maintains positive and productive relationships with the campaign team and other internal teams
  • Provides outstanding customer service to all internal stakeholders through timely responses to questions, concerns, and requests


Requirements

  • Collaborate with and be an inclusive leader of the diverse campaign team by establishing clear goals and ensuring the successful execution and optimization of marketing campaigns
  • Create and manage campaign plans and schedules to meet campaign goals
  • Lead and create agendas for campaign team meetings including planning meetings, status meetings, and lessons learned meetings
  • Capture action items, assign owners, and hold owners accountable to completing assigned actions
  • Communicate schedules and deadlines to internal teams
  • Serve as the central point-of-contact for internal teams for day-to-day management of the campaign plan
  • Manage and communicate requirements and documentation required for internal teams to effectively execute on the creation of campaign assets and execution of campaign activities
  • Identify changes to project scope or costs and work with the campaign team and Directors of Marketing to reset goals, plans, and schedules as necessary
  • Identify and track project risks and work with project stakeholders on risk mitigation plans
  • Prepare and present reports on campaign status, performance vs. goals/KPIs, risks, and other program-related issues.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process and quality improvements that increase efficiency and lower costs
  • Promote a transparent, accessible, and inclusive culture where all employees are encouraged to learn more about themselves and others


The anticipated starting salary for candidates expressing interest in this position is $70K. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience required
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Project Management role
  • PMP certification, PMP learning certificate, or the ability to demonstrate an understanding and application of agile, waterfall, and other Project Management Institute (PMI) principles and methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail are required
  • Exemplary collaboration skills and the ability to successfully manage the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills, strong listening, negotiation, and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
