Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Project Management Specialist (Experienced or Senior) to support the Fabrication Business Operations & Program Management Office Teams based out of Auburn, Washington and Everett, Washington.
The Project Management Specialist will lead and support The Fabrication Program Management Office Team by enabling predictable project results using consistent processes, quality, integration, and alignment across Fabrication and customers through Functional Excellence.
Position Responsibilities :

  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and actively manages plan throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implements best practices in support of project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to less experienced personnel.


This position is expected to be onsite at minimum 4 days per week, with 1 day of optional telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Auburn, WA or Everett, WA with expectations to work from other Puget Sound sites as needed.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams or projects to successful completion.
  • 3+ years of experience facilitating meetings & presenting to senior leaders
  • 3+ years of experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion.
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating meetings & presenting to senior leaders
  • 5+ years of experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • 5+ years of experience collecting data, developing metrics, and conducting trend analysis
  • 5+ years of experience managing projects that involve cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 5+ years in developing and implementing process improvements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification


Typical Education/Experience:
Experienced (Level 3):
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Senior (Level 4):
Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
