Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Accessibility Excellence Team (ACCEX) provides consulting services to technology teams, line of business partners, Legal counsel, and Compliance partners to ensure Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance via software solution design, development, testing, and operations for online and mobile Consumer and GWIM applications within Retail, Preferred, Small Business & Wealth Management Technology (RPSWT). The ACCEX Portfolio Lead is responsible for end to end coordination and adherence of the ADA process by acting as a liaison between the Technology Project Team and the Accessibility Analysts.
  • Serve as the front door for all project engagements.
  • Utilize reporting to maintain and balance Accessibility Analyst project capacity.
  • Partake in Project Kick Off Meetings to level-set ADA expectations with Technology Project Team members.
  • Remove roadblocks to ensure Accessibility Analysts can complete their work successfully.
  • Troubleshoot and provide resolutions for project related issues that may arise.
  • Perform adhoc responsibilities such as reporting, presentations, and hosting events.
  • Serve as governance control point for external accessibility business control function permit to operate.

Required Skills:
At least three to five years of technology experience or related field-knowledge of Digital Accessibility is preferred, but not necessary.
Must have executive presence, critical thinking skills, ability to disagree when interacting with Technology Project Team partners and ability to support multiple initiatives.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, editing and project management skills; experience with SharePoint and Confluence.
  • Ability to think/act both strategically and tactically.
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to proactively offer ideas and strategies and make decisions, not just execute on what is asked.
  • Ability to navigate and exert influence in a fast-paced environment and connect the dots.
  • Must be a dedicated team player comfortable working in a large, complex organization.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues in many locations and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to build relationships and demonstrate leadership.

Desired Skills:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience within a related field.
  • Experience working directly within project teams and/or as a project manager of SDLC .
  • Experience per above within a large financial institution, Bank of America preferred.
  • Prior business management and process development/improvement preferred
