Program Sr Manager
SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER OF PRODUCTION
Industry respected defense contractor and manufacturer of heavy, naval ship equipment and structural support systems has immediate opening for an experienced Director of Manufacturing Production Leader in its Ship Professional Technical Services Business Unit.
Candidate should have a minimum of 20 years proven leadership in fiscal management, planning and execution of manufacturing and shop floor production including 5 years of experience as a senior level manager with P&L responsibility. Strong strategic planning and capital budgeting skills required with objective to increase profits and strive for efficiencies in manufacturing efforts. Demonstrated ability to manage collaborate between multiple industrial facilities in diverse locations.
Responsibilities of the Director of Manufacturing: REQUIREMENTS
- Program / Project manager experience
- Proficiency in financial management and data analysis
- Ability to pull JOBBOSS data and analyze it for accuracy as well as generating customer Status Reports (technical status and financial expenditures)
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills
- Growth management experience - to increase the customer base and revenue in order to maintain a sustainable 2nd shift
- Experience running a 2nd shift
- Manufacturing and / or fabrication experience
- Be able to collaborate and partner with the peers managing fab shops in different geographical locations
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline required; MBA desired.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and related support functions.
US Navy waterfront support experience and extensive knowledge of applicable Naval Instructions and MILSTD, ABS and NSTM requirements to include TS9090-310(latest version) and NAVSEA Standard Items.
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings for manufacturing.
Lean and Six Sigma experience desired.
Proven track record in building high performance teams, leading cross-functionality, developing and retaining employees, and driving organizational change.
Must be extensively experienced with the use of computers and software programs commonly used to perform leadership and analytical functions.
Proven ability to manage growth.
