Job Description

We are looking for a high performance, goal-oriented leader to drive the completion and transition of a multi-party, game changing product development. This team member will be responsible for all aspects of integration, test, and demonstration of the emerging technology, including cost, schedule, subcontract, and risk management. In addition, this leader will have responsibility for parallel technology developments at multiple Lockheed Martin and partner sites. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Direct all phases of product development through prototype demonstration of a high priority prototype execution effort, Directed Energy Maneuver Short Range Air Defense (DE MSHORAD), and the Indirect Fire Protection Capability - High Energy Laser (IFPC-HEL) capture. • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with existing customers stakeholders to raise cost, schedule, and technical performance awareness. • Responsible for coordinating local, virtual, and offsite program workload, team skillset selection, training recommendations, personnel growth, and performance feedback• Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program challenges and drives to solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing specifications • Partners with business development leaders to develop new or ancillary products or to expand existing product lines with new or existing customers, operating as a capture manager as necessary

Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership skills and experience leading diverse, distributed, and virtual teams• Proven track record of leading large scale, complex system development programs over geographically dispersed locations, including multiple major subcontractors.• Adept at working within matrix organizations for executing and proposing programs• Proven ability to identify and build strong relationships with, and influence of, decision makers, maintaining long-term internal stakeholder and customer intimacy• Ability to partner with peers across Lockheed Martin Business Units• Proven program management experience, including knowledge of the program performance management process (PPMP) and associated monthly financial business rhythms• Demonstrated business acumen to include experience in EVMS, negotiations, performance metrics, and portfolio management.• Strong communication and presentation skills• Willingness and ability to travel (domestic TDY is a possibility in the first year) as required.• Familiarity with the Common Operations System and Enterprise Product Data Management• Must have at a minimum an active Secret Clearance with a completed investigation within the last 5 years

Desired skills
• Self-starter with proven leadership ability, as well as demonstrated success working with limited supervision while coordinating activities with engineering, operations, finance, quality, contracts, sourcing and other program execution functions• A team player that can lead diverse disciplines in multi-functional teams at all levels of the organization, including senior scientific and engineering subject matter experts• Knowledge of Risk Management and a demonstrated understanding of the value of identifying and managing program risks, formulating risk burn down plans, and ensuring incorporation into project/program plans and schedules. • Strong customer collaboration experience, specifically in the areas of SOW development, contract modifications, engineering change proposals, and schedule integration • Ability to adapt to changing environments while meeting customer and stakeholder requirements and leveraging proven configuration control practices• Experience with new business capture milestones, proposals and the cost estimating process• Experience transitioning developmental technology into production• Experience with accelerated acquisition and procurement processes• Aerospace & Defense Industry experience• Program Management Assessment at Level 2 or above • Highly organized, prompt and with a proclivity for detail• Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to work remotely

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:
In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $122,300 - $203,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
