The Job

The Program Manager will be providing project leadership, support, and guidance around some of our highest-priority projects at Tango Card, both customer and business-facing. This Program Manager will directly impact our mission to make rewards easy to send and awesome to receive!

Using project, process, and change management principles (plus excellent communication skills), the Program Manager will guide, track, and deliver projects that meet company objectives (OKRs). As this role is highly collaborative, a successful Program Manager will be able to work across Tango Card & our various business teams to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and inside budget parameters.This role may work in tandem with technical project managers on joint leadership efforts across product, compliance, and operations. 

Reports To: VP of Commercial Operations

As a Program Manager at Tango You’ll:

  • Lead high-impact, company-wide projects in support of our OKRs, driving successful outcomes through project management methodologies & coordination across teams.
  • Working with the leadership team and across all business units to ensure priorities/timelines/deliverables are successfully understood, prioritized, and delivered in partnership with other program managers.
  • Confidently use data in analyzing & reporting on Operations’ effectiveness in improving our customers’ experience.
  • Support implementation and management of technology solutions to support Operations' evolving needs.
  • Lead initiatives where you are not the subject matter expert.
  • Participate in and help cultivate a culture of transparency, continuous improvement, change management, and aligning with Tango Card’s core values. 
  • Creating process & workflows from scratch with a mind towards reusability and continuous improvement.
  • Educate key partners on effective project planning, project management and execution. 

To Be Effective in our Program Manager Role, You Must Have: 

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills 
  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and navigate grey areas while keeping key stakeholders in the loop.
  • Skilled at working with stakeholders to assess needs and refine ambiguous requirements.
  • Comfortable with cross-functional, matrix-like organizational leadership. 
  • Strong analysis skills, including defining key milestones, gathering data/input and providing actionable next steps 
  • Excellent at time management and organization, including ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to assess problems, identify solutions, remove barriers, bring people along and get results.
  •  Acts with humility, flexibility, and recognizes the value of teamwork. 
  • Ability to build strong relationships, establish trust and lead through influence; people skills to drive engagement and alignment across teams, while also ensuring accountability, pushing back when needed in a constructive way. 

Our Ideal Program Manager at Tango Card will have the following:

  • PMP
  • 3+ years of Program Management at a technology company
  • Grace under pressure, approach challenges with humor & lightness.
