RSM is looking to hire a Program Manager that will support our Information Security team. They will be responsible for providing program and project oversight to their respective area working closely with the Platform Manager/Director, Portfolio Leadership, and project managers to ensure a stable, scalable, and high performing platform.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for oversight of Project Managers within the platform, working closely with IT PM Solutions Leaders for standards and best practices
- Facilitate definition of project scope, and manage to objectives, budget, schedule, resources, and deliverables that support business goals
- Review project/program's material changes, mitigation plans and communication to appropriate stakeholders through monitoring program, project health (risk/issue, budget, timeline, scope) and ensuring high priority Support and Maintenance activities are being executed
- Ensures active and near planned work is kept up to date in our planning system and ensure work plans are refined at the resource level and communicated for any near-term planned or active work
- Provide oversight into overall portfolio health - monitoring, mitigating and communicating Portfolio risks and partnering with Platform Manager/Director to return project/programs to healthy state when needed
- Partner with Sr. Security Architect, Platform Manger/Director and Business Relationship Leader (BRL) to plan out all Information Security work across the portfolio (programs, projects, service requests, upgrades, etc.) and initiatives are staffed appropriately
- Coordinate with Platform Manger/Director on executing Portfolio Support Plan and ensure communication plans are in place
- Communicate portfolio information to Platform Manager/Director and BRL
- Ensure any new requests are reviewed by the BRL and work with them to garner scoping information from the business
Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- PPM certification is preferred
Technical/Soft Skills:
- Strong experience in managing solution delivery teams and projects/programs
- Ability to manage all different IT roles some of which are direct and indirect reports
- Firm understanding of the Solution Delivery Life Cycle process
- Understands the unique needs of an Information Security portfolio and the critical impact it can have on the enterprise.
- Understands the products and services offered by the Firm and synthesize them for different audience
- Eloquent communication skills with technical and non-technical audience
- Must be a critical thinker who can respond to situations verses reacting
- Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to write with purpose, clarity, and accuracy
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills, applied with a solution-focused attitude
- Ability to break down technically complex and ambiguous concepts and to translate them into simple concepts and ideas
Experience:
- 5-8 years relevant experience
- One or more years' experience with Program Management
- Experience managing multiple projects of moderate to high risk
- Extensive experience leading all different type of Information Security, Network and Infrastructure teams and roles in a collaborative environment.
- Strong Experience leading, scaling, and developing diverse program and project teams
- Experience mentoring teams through problem resolution and encouraging staff to share responsibility in problem solving.
- Experience with personnel management. Resolves conflicts timely and beneficially to all concerned
- Experience with Microsoft Project and Project Online
- Good understating of Azure DevOps
Leadership Skills:
- Progressive experience leading projects and program teams
- Strong team building, relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to lead geographically distributed teams
