Kinsa is on a mission to stop the spread of infectious illnesses through early detection and early response. Our real-time early warning system for illness (featured in the New York Times, on Rachel Maddow, CNBC, FOX News, and more) predicts COVID-19 outbreaks 3 weeks in advance and flu 20+ weeks in advance. We’ve done this by successfully transforming the first device you grab when sickness strikes - the thermometer - into a sensor to detect when and where illness is rising, and communicate with those who have just fallen ill.

We are hiring a Program Manager to manage community development and oversee the implementation of the Kinsa FLUency School Health Program in Canadian elementary schools.

FLUency is a solution to safely reopen schools & stop the spread of illness. FLUency gives families a tool to detect and treat illness at the first symptom, and empowers schools with knowledge to prevent outbreaks and keep our institutions safe, healthy, and open for students to learn.

You will be at the forefront of our mission, working closely with cross-functional internal teams and school administrators to successfully implement FLUency. This role is ideal for motivated professionals interested in:

● Making a huge impact in a public health startup organization and in the day-to-day lives

of educators, students, and families across Canada

● Managing the implementation and success of an exciting school health program

● Developing a vibrant community of engaged users

Responsibilities

● Oversee all delivery and management aspects of the FLUency Canada program to ensure success. Including school recruitment, school administrator onboarding, community engagement, and thermometer shipments

● Develop the program implementation plan and coordinate across several teams, including marketing, product, data, and customer success, to meet timelines

● Present yourself as the voice of the program to the community via physical and digital content, webinars, newsletters, surveys and emails

● Ideate and execute new events and initiatives to engage our communities of school leaders, teachers, and parents

● Identify solutions to challenges as they arise and work cross-functionally to resolve

Experience

● A desire to use your skills to have a widespread impact on people (we are a mission-first company)

● Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices

● You’re a great oral and written communicator — you actively listen, and you can write thoughtful responses quickly

● Proven ability to solve problems creatively

● Self-motivated and thrive in fast-paced environments

● A deep passion for professional development and desire to learn; growth mindset

● Displays a high level of personal and professional integrity. You don’t shirk responsibility, if you make a mistake, you own it, learn, and move on

● “Extreme Ownership” describes you and your approach to work. You don’t just receive feedback - you leverage it to improve, and you can pivot quickly. You are a nimble learner

● Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Bonus points if you have:

● Experience in a startup environment, understanding the opportunity and challenges working at warp speed for a company in hyper-growth mode

● Experience in the Canadian education space
