Recruiting Project Manager

Airbnb is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead initiatives that make Recruiting at Airbnb more strategic and effective. This role sits within our Recruiting Strategy & Operations team (RSO), and will be a liaison between RSO, Recruiting leaders, Talent Partners (HRBPs), and product teams at Airbnb. As part of project/program ownership, you will focus on the larger business picture (i.e., customer experience or particular problem/process), understand relevant business requirements/goals and drive the right outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to scope efforts, secure resources, set milestones, drive delivery, determine where to iterate to make improvements and set success metrics
- Track progress of the initiatives, provide updates as needed, and drive accountability among stakeholders (e.g. hiring managers, functional leaders, Recruiting team, etc.)
- Sample projects our team has worked on include:
- Designing and implementing process improvement pilots and other experiments with our recruiting teams, such as new assessment techniques and updates to our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Supporting recruiting leaders in their resource planning, headcount allocation and other team management needs
- Refining our diversity recruiting best practices through implementation of playbooks/strategies
- Investing in strengthening operational efficiency, integrity and quality
- Benchmarking our interview practices against our key competitors for talent and make recommendations on how to incorporate best practices in the marketplace
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project/program management experience
- 9+ years of total work experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills also a must
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and solutions-oriented in the face of problems
- Passion for trying, learning, improving, and sharing best practices
- Proactive team member with excellent attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, and push back on leaders when necessary
- Strong sense of urgency to drive projects to completion
- Background in Recruiting or Human Resources is a plus
- Familiarity with Greenhouse and Workday is a plus
- MBA/MA is a plus
