onsemi is hiring a program manager to drive new product development efficiency and productivity improvement through process flow, gate reviews, and metrics for the Advanced Power Division (APD).
Role is critical and has high visibility in the division to enhance project selection, resource utilization, and efficiency in project execution to achieve business objectives. The individual will have the opportunity to learn new and excited technologies in Electrified Vehicle and other power modules and discrete. This individual reports to the senior director of new products and test development in the division. Come and join our team.
Job Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a team player who is able to work with the global new products development teams and cross-functional organizations to identify opportunities and drive NPD process and execution efficiency and productivity for the division. The team of two NPD controllers will report to this program manager position.

  • Work with corporate R&D to improve NPD process flow and execution
    • NPD process flow and metrics
    • Define database and tools of project delay root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)
    • Product design review rigor
    • Provide training to development teams per corporate NPD process updates and changes


  • Manage Project Review Board (PRB) meeting
    • Setup PRB meetings for gate review (CCR, PCR, FPR, QC, and LC)
    • Ensure PRB material meet requirements and deliverables in NPD PLM system are completed prior gate review meeting
    • Communicate meeting minutes, actions log, and follow up with teams for closure
    • Manage project phase gate opening to move projects to next execution phase
    • Identify and define PRB template improvement to drive efficiency and align to corporate requirement
  • Analyze RCCA data and identify common delay root cause and recommend actions to drive improvement
    • Classify delay root cause by category and product platform
    • Quantify delay impact and commonality
    • Work with NPD leaders to recommend corrective actions
  • Construct NPD monthly KPI and business review (MBR and QBR)
    • Report divisional project funnel, part release actual to plan, NPD dashboard and scorecard
    • Consolidate KPI material from four business units' NPD team leaders
    • Provide MBR and QBR material to upper management
  • Support special projects to improve NPD output, cost, quality, and on time delivery as needed



  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering of science, prefer electrical or electronics
  • 5+ years of semiconductor new products development procedure and execution management experience
  • Project management experience, PMP certified is the plus
  • Oral & written English language proficiency is a must
  • Leadership capability to lead teams by influent and able to get things done across functional organizations
  • Familiar with power devices operations and applications
  • Hands-on working experience with statistical analysis software, excel macro, Power Point
  • Ability to multitask & self-driven to produce results in a timely fashion with strong sense of urgency
  • Able to travel and attend evening meeting calls
