Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) is a team tasked with envisioning the American Express Payment Network of the future and executing the cross-functional transformation necessary to deliver it. This global team is defining and delivering new services and capabilities to drive business differentiation, growth, and a digital global payments Network that is an enabler of rapid innovation.

The Network & Acquirer Capability Delivery team within NAS delivers capabilities to support all partners using the Network as well as delivering full scale modernized platforms that enable new digital products and modernized payment solutions to meet the evolving demands of global payment networks while ensuring continued global interoperability. This enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, operate in new markets, react to changing regulatory demands, and process new types of payments.

The Program Manager role is part of the Network & Acquirer Capability Delivery Program Management Office (PMO). This team drives the delivery governance structure & processes, including providing an objective view of delivery status, management of risks / issues, changes, and major decisions. This role is focused on fostering communication and driving strategic change management activities across the program.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Implement the strategic communication initiatives and framework to support network and acquirer strategic objectives.
  • Set-up procedures and develop appropriate timely communication approaches and support materials to enhance communications with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement communications plans and tactics, using multiple channels, to inform, educate, and engage stakeholders
  • Support senior leadership with communications and presentations, including anticipating and solving communication challenges for internal stakeholders and coordinating across other Business Units as appropriate
  • Ensure that communications and change collateral are streamlined, easy to understand, engaging, and aligned to program goals
  • Collaborate with Amex communications professionals to align Program messaging across audiences, leverage best practices, and capitalize on existing successful channels
  • Develop and implement multi-audience strategic communications and change plans
  • Measure effectiveness of Reporting, communications and change activities and use feedback to improve future efforts
  • Communicate with stakeholders to cascade program-wide updates, such as outcomes from critical stakeholder communications moments.
  • Evaluate training and learning needs and ensure learning strategies are mapped to integrated business goals
  • Help facilitate leadership alignment initiatives to create leadership support from the Executive Sponsors, Steering Committee, Program Office, and the broader team
  • Monitor the program for major change moments within the roadmap and implement targeted change activities to support these moments and guide stakeholders along the change journey
  • Manage day-to-day change and communications activities and serve as the key point-of-contact
  • Coordinate all Program reporting, communications and change initiatives
  • Remain abreast of activities across workstreams to help inform and shape change work
  • Communicates with Delivery Directors, Portfolio Management and Business Partners with regard to program strategy, direction and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Communications and Change Management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred or relevant years of professional experience
  • Strong PowerPoint and graphic design skills with experience creating engaging presentations and infographics
  • Excellent planning, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • High-level of flexibility with the ability to absorb new information and adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to capture key messages and convey important details in messages and communications
  • Proven ability to think strategically and consider multiple stakeholder groups when crafting change and communications collateral
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with all organizational levels
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal colleagues and external partners

If you have completed your primary vaccine series but have not yet reached your booster eligibility date, you will be able to come into the office; however, you will need to complete your booster within 30 days of becoming eligible to continue coming in and participating in company-sponsored in-person events.
