Summary
Assists with the Family and Community Well-Being department program activities and data documentation. Provides community support to walk-in clients of the Latino Center of the Midlands by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Aids in navigating general services in the community to address social, emotional, economic, educational, legal, and basic survival needs.
Assists LCM clients in completing forms, interpreting and/or translating documents, and establishing communication through the phone, email, and fax on behalf of the client.
Supports coordinator and director by scheduling and assisting during one-on-one consultations, group sessions, and community wide events.
Develops and maintains relationships with community experts in social and human services (e.g. pantries, Omaha utility services, etc.).
Supports director in implementation of all four pillars by providing logistic assistance.
Collects reporting data and organizes within the database system.
Promotes program activities in community organizations, churches, media, social media, and other channels.
Represents LCM at community meetings and events.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
