Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our business in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment and play an important role in maturing our global Privacy Program.

Be part of the Privacy Team helping to implement and imbed the long-term Privacy Program throughout rewardStyle Dallas (Head Quarters), our entities in Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, South Korea and the United Kingdom, and our globally located creators, customers and brands.

We are looking for an individual to help implement processes, procedures and changes to evolve our Privacy Program. In order to be successful, the individual must be an excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex principles and concepts into understandable and actionable steps. This role will report to our Head of Privacy and frequently collaborate with the Governance, Risk and Compliance team. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who can demonstrate a proven history of completing the day-to-day tasks, and who is ready to step up and play an important role in continuing to evolve and implement the long-term Privacy framework. 

Privacy Program

  • Assisting in drafting and reviewing privacy policies both in the short term and on an ongoing basis, ensuring privacy related policies, forms, and procedures are maintained. 
  • Helping to advise the business of further steps or improvements to the Privacy Program; developing programs and helping to implement identified recommendations across HQ and entities.
  • Working with the legal team, legal counsel and external consultants on various aspects of the global Privacy Program.
  • Partnering with Information Security, and GRC on relevant Privacy matters and projects as well as actively participating in project meetings.
  • Assisting with developing privacy training materials and conduct training to foster a culture of Privacy and awareness.

Privacy Day To Day

  • Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day tasks such as completing DPIAs , other assessments, Article 28 contract reviews and SCC annexes, and ensuring sufficient safeguards for international transfers.
  • Maintain program documentation, including program summaries, roadmaps, processes and inventories are current.
  • Assisting with any security incident investigations, summarizing factual findings for legal review, assisting with legal requirements, and documenting communications.
  • Privacy Advisory - provide timely advice in relation to internal staff’s Privacy related enquiries, such as compliance with our privacy policies
  • Carry out privacy research, keeping up to date with new privacy guidance, compiling notes on various areas of privacy (as and when required) and, where appropriate, presenting to Management.
  • Carry out and/or manage client right requests, such as Data Subject Access Requests, Data Portability and Right to be forgotten.
  • Administer and manage the internal privacy registers, such as the Records of Processing,  privacy management tool, and other ancillary tasks.

Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 to  3 years working in Privacy, procurement, compliance risk teams or consulting to companies on privacy
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Work experience with privacy frameworks, GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc. 
  • Authentic appetite for staying informed of global privacy developments and ability to identify applicable impacts to the business.
  • Having a high level of knowledge, comfort with technology, and willing to learn in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work across groups to implement privacy program requirements, interacting professionally with all levels of management, multiple geographies, and vendors.
  • Knowledge and has applied Project management methodologies to evolve corporate policies and programs
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Desirable That The Candidate Has Some Of The Following:

  • Data Protection/Privacy qualifications. IAPP certification (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) or comparable.
  • Can demonstrate some Privacy policy creation and implementation work.
  • Has worked independently and resourcefully as part of a small team.
  • Information Security experience or understanding (even if very basic).
  • Experience with third party privacy management and/or project management tools desired.
