Elevator Pitch Paragraph: Clearbit is seeking an experienced Privacy Program Manager reporting directly to the VP, Legal and Privacy. You will be integral in building out processes, driving improvements and ensuring compliance with the evolving global and US privacy laws framework for Clearbit's most important revenue drivers. You will work closely with the EPD and security team to come up with creative and efficient solutions to manage Clearbit's privacy program. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to work in a rapidly growing, hands-on, start-up environment.
At Clearbit, you'll:
- You will have a broad range of responsibilities including leading the charge for operational implementation and maintenance of the global data protection and privacy program for Clearbit
- You will partner with our engineering, product, security, and other teams to document and ensure regulatory compliance
- Help with the maintenance and updating of policies, standards, playbooks and standard operating procedures that support global privacy and data protection program goals
- Ensure that data subject requests are logged and responded to within the prescribed periods
- Prepare and maintain data protection program documentation, including records of personal data processing (data inventories) and data protection impact assessments, and conduct periodic compliance assessments of these
- Support ongoing measurement and auditing on overall effectiveness of the privacy program and execution of privacy policies and standards
- Assess and ensure implementation of technical and organizational measures that support compliance
- Implement appropriate privacy awareness and training resources, and work on reporting on privacy matters to senior management and the Board of Directors.
We’re looking for someone with:
- The ideal candidate will bring a mix of operational experience (running cross-functional projects), subject matter knowledge (knowledge of the GDPR in product design is critical) and technical competence (a comfortable understanding of product lifecycles and data processing technologies, including the management of complex DPIA’s)
- The individual must have the ability to work independently and build strong collaborative relationships across both in-person and virtual teams
- They need to be personable and a strong communicator, comfortable dissecting complex topics about the intersection of law, policy, technology, operations and data ethics
- 5+ years experience with the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as other global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, ideally as relevant to data driven marketing companies
- 5+ years experience in complex technology/product environments
- Interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality
- Knowledge of and interest in privacy and data protection concerns
- Sharp focus on multi-tasking, details, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with DataGrail, TrustArc or Drata
- Preferred Certifications: CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPP/US
