Job Title: Principal Project Manager

Job Summary

An Alert Logic Principal Project Manager is required to join an inclusive and collaborative team, interacting directly with Alert Logic customers to lead them and a team of Alert Logic Security Analysts and Network Engineers through the full deployment lifecycle. This role allows the right candidate to influence the direction of the team and their own development utilizing security best practices and prior experience managing complex projects. A demonstrable background in leading projects across the full project lifecycle and experience of using project scheduling and reporting tools is required for this role.

This is a consultative position, which involves direct interaction with multiple stakeholders, building relationships with key customers during the sales process, and then leading the customer and Alert Logic technical teams to reach the in-scope security outcomes. An exceptional knowledge of the Alert Logic products and services is required to ensure the Principal Project Manager can understand the customers' business goals, translate those goals into project activity, manage customers' needs responsively, and direct their project teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Employ a deep knowledge of Alert Logic solutions and services to lead problem solving conversations.
• Engage in the sales process to:
  • gather customer requirements
  • create statement of work for the implementation
  • set expectations and explain implementation journey
  • understand contractual obligations for implementation teams
• Collaborate with technical implementation teams to identify and communicate areas for improvement in the Alert Logic solution.
• Embody the culture of excellence and challenge the status quo.
• Empower the wider team to work collaboratively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking through incorporating company goals into continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrate strategic thinking through incorporating company goals into continuous improvement initiatives.
• 5 years of experience specifically in transitioning new customers to a managed service, in an IT industry
• Proven experience of key project management skills on high profile, complex, dynamic, fast-paced projects
• Excellent leadership communication skills and accomplished stakeholder management at the C-level
• Ability to quickly establish trust and form strong customer relationships from the outset of the Alert Logic engagement
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and an analytical mind used to evaluate requirements and identify solutions on the fly
• Exemplary risk management skills to proactively manage project risk and urgency to make timely and impactful decisions
• Demonstrable knowledge of information security compliance, network security architecture, and cloud environment architecture
• Ability to translate and simplify security solutions and issues to a non-familiar audience
• History of managing conflict and ambiguity in relation to meeting project objectives
• Be self-motivated and exhibit a high level of accountability via experience of working autonomously whilst successfully prioritizing workloads

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
• Experience with tools such as Smartsheet, Salesforce, and PowerBI

Education

• Minimum educational requirement is bachelor's degree
• Formal Project Management qualification such as PMP / Prince 2 / APM / ITIL Transition
• Preferred Cyber Security certification
