Your Opportunity

The Principal Program Manager owns and leads cross-functional strategic and tactical initiatives to world class completion from conceptualization to execution. As part of the Business Operations Global Office of Strategic Initiatives, you will drive programs that deliver long-term business value, improve internal operations, and drive significant business change. You will be a key member of the Enterprise Program Management Office, defining and implementing program and change management best practices, setting the standard for the organization. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to work closely with senior and executive leadership across multiple functions within New Relic!

The ideal candidate exhibits strong executive presence, drives decision making, and has demonstrated expertise in project management using a variety of project management tools to meet the needs of each directive. Strong communication and facilitation skills are also highly desired!

Opportunity to work from a remote office may be available depending on applicant location.
What You'll Do

  • Lead successful implementation of cross-functional, high-impact initiatives and programs that enable the company to achieve short and long-term goals
  • Create and implement comprehensive project/program plans and schedules to achieve the desired business outcome
  • Identify issues, risks and dependencies and drive to resolution
  • Define, track, and refine metrics that measure project health and successful execution
  • Be a leader for the Enterprise Program Management Office, implementing and improving standard methodologies company-wide
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with leaders globally

Your Qualifications

Must-have:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in program/project management and change management having led and successfully delivered multiple, complex projects on-time and on-budget
  • Ability to implement at a strategic level and also roll up the sleeves and do the work; easily able to shift from one to the other
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding communicator who seeks to proactively improve and optimize processes while bringing many partners along
  • Experience working effectively in a changing environment; adaptable and resilient, working towards solutions during times of change
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills at all management levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement standard methodologies and generate high-quality business results


Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in SAAS or technology industry
  • PROSCI or similar change management certification
  • Project management certification
