Principal Program Manager - People Team
Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
We are seeking an outstanding Principal Program Manager to drive transformational People programs that deliver high quality People products to our business and elevate the Atlassian employee experience.
This is an excellent role for someone with deep experience in both program management and People teams (e.g. Talent, HR, TA, Compensation) who is passionate about technology, digging deep into the data, and championing the employee experience. Strong candidates are program leaders with a track record of successfully launching large scale, high complexity, high impact programs. Risk, dependency, and change management super powers are essential for role success.
Does this sound exciting? Then you might be the person we're looking for!
In this role you’ll:
Lead as a strategic partner: You will understand the big picture and drive the vision for success, while tactically delivering incremental team and company value. You will guide a large cross-functional team to make decisions that serve our long term strategy, as well as trade-offs to fuel the teams' velocity.
Drive strategy to action: As the owner of multiple workstreams, you will drive collaboratively to plan releases, create team practices, and align on a global change strategy. You will partner with workstream leads to provide clear guardrails, while empowering teams to move quickly.
Role model communication and influence: Building off your stellar interpersonal skills, you will lead through influencing, aligning across multiple COE’s, and engaging with Atlassians. You will know when to drive, when to coach, and when to roll up your sleeves.
On your first day, you will have:
- 10+ years delivering successful transformational programs affecting people and processes, that are digital-first and data-informed
- Experience owning and driving a strategy and a portfolio of programs based on driving outcomes
- Experience leading programs in a global, remote-first environment with cross-functional (including vendors) teams
- High level of autonomy and ability to support others in driving and aligning complex programs across an organization and a company
- Experience operating with and influencing organizational leaders, holding your own in high-level, high-stakes conversations
- Expertise in measuring impact, identifying risks, and focusing programs on priorities that drive business outcomes
