The PharmaDx group is looking for an Associate Project Manager I to support the specimen management functions for PharmaDx central pathology clinical investigations. The core specimen management functions for central pathology clinical investigation projects include case consolidation for central pathology cases, developing and managing standardized specimen chain-of-custody, storage and return processes for clinical trial specimens. Associate Project Manager I will support the project teams by monitoring specimen shipment notifications, managing pre-analytic and post-analytic specimen chain-of-custody, transporting clinical trial specimens from laboratory sections to long-term storage, cataloging stored specimens by project and specimen return to pharmaceutical partners. The Associate Project Manager I will report to the PharmaDx Group Manager responsible for oversight of clinical investigations. The successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented and will enjoy working on tasks independently while making significant contributions to the larger project team. This person may facilitate development of department and divisional projects including project definition and scope, deliverables, risk assessment, project tracking and status reporting.

Essential Functions:

Supports department staff in project management activities.

Assists in the planning and implementation of projects with oversight.

Supports aspects of complex projects as requested.

Responsible for learning and implementing Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Medical Device Design Control requirements for projects.

Coordinates and collaborates with subject matter experts to conduct data analysis and risk assessments in relation to compliance with established procedures.

Presents analysis results to managers or senior management.

Coordinates communications as warranted by project scope.

Tracks proposed projects and track and resolve issues related to the proposed projects.

Functions as liaison with internal customers on projects.

Ensures that proper processes are being followed and assist in establishing new processes as required.

Physical and Other Requirements:

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Communicate: Frequently communicate with others.

PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.

Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.
