The Product Development Program Manager - Continuous Improvement will have responsibility for key programs that simplify work, accelerate product development, and generate best-in-class outcomes from our product development teams. The position contributes to the entirety of Medtronic's mission and will enable CST to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life more quickly to more patients.
Collaboration with subject matter experts across PMO, Finance, R&D, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory and Clinical functions will be essential for the success of this position. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Product Development Process Excellence function within CST R&D.
The ideal candidate will have continuous improvement and change management expertise with experience in product development.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Lead improvement project workstreams within large improvement programs and or lead improvement programs with key functional partners.
- Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end systems or processes will solve the business problems
- Actively lead the development and execution of project plans including schedules, resources, and anticipated benefits
- Define project resources
- Facilitate workshops as needed as well as working team operating mechanisms
- Leverage a combination of Lean, DMAIC, and DRM practices to efficiently achieve project outcomes
- Enable an environment of problem-solving and identify innovative solutions to address competing criteria and create win-win outcomes
- Maintain oversight of all project risk and mitigation plans
- Provide routine updates on continuous improvement culture and project progress
- Manage tradeoff decisions and determine optimized outcomes for the enterprise
- Plans and deploys change management plans as part of process improvement or transformation
- Lead the implementation of changes to processes, systems, and practices
- Conduct training as needed
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of supporting business process improvement, Program/Project Management, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years experience
Nice to Have• Experience with product development and product lifecycle management• Green Belt Certification in a continuous improvement discipline such as Lean Sigma, Six Sigma, DFSS, or DRM• Experience working within finance operations shared services or BPO• Project management and organizational effectiveness skills• Ability to lead managers and subject matter experts across the organization through change• Ability to operate in a matrix organization and work effectively with stakeholders and peers across geographic and organizational boundaries• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills• Ability to influence
