Onboarding Program Manager
Job Description
This role will primarily be responsible for the ongoing development, management, and execution of Rockwell Automation's North American Sales Training Program in alignment with our Outcome Based Selling methodology. This role will be the hiring manager and direct supervisor for our early career Sales Associates (Account Managers and Domain Experts) during their time in the program. This role will also support the execution and development of our early career sales recruiting strategies, as well as taking on other key projects in support of our early career Sales Onboarding Strategy.
What you'll do:
Manage the North American Sales Training Program:
- Direct Management responsibilities of program participants (20-30 people annually), including hiring, coaching, performance management, and terminations
- Continuous evolution of training programs to align with Rockwell's Outcome Based Selling methodology
- Collaborate with Sales Enablement and others to determine program content and scheduling
- Partnership and coaching of field Sales Managers to ensure effective development of Associates during time in Field Assignments and post-Graduation
- Solicit feedback from key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop and Deliver portions of training content
- Supports the development and execution of early career Global Sales & Marketing recruiting strategy
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Early Career Onboarding Program following participant graduation to identify needs for program improvement
- Partnership with key stakeholders outside of direct work group, including HR, Talent Acquisition, and other functions
- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree OR 4+ years of equivalent relevant experience
- Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel as needed (
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferably at least 3 years of industrial sales experience
- Experience interfacing at all levels within a customers' organizations: End Users, Machine Builders, SIs, market access partners (distributors), etc.
- Direct Management Experience is a plus
- Experience in mentoring and coaching of early career sales talent
- Experience in the development and/or execution of sales competency/training programs
