Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to oversee Federal environmental remediation projects, specifically under our Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP). The candidate may work from the Omaha, Nebraska office or remotely within the United States.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Familiar with FUDS MMR and CERCLA process for remediation of military munitions
  • Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management
  • Directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects
  • Leads project and proposal teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and proctices
  • Utilizes existing technologies and past experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems
  • Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance
  • Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking
  • Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager
  • Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies
  • Performs complex assignments often requiring the development of unique solutions to problems with the support of the project team
  • Directs junior and mid-level staff during all phases of project work and proposal efforts

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Geology, or related field with 6 plus years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of MMRP project management experience and/or education
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional License (PE, PG)
  • 10 plus years' experience in MMRP project management
  • Master's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, Geology, or a related degree
  • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations
  • Experience successfully managing MMRP projects for federal clients (USACE, AFCEC, Navy)
  • Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills
  • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery
  • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences
  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
  • Interest in business development
  • Have led teams of professionals in executing full spectrum MMRP projects including RI/FS and removal actions for DoD clients
  • Occasional overnight travel required

Additional Information:

  • Relocation is not available for this position
  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range is: $90,165 - $135,000
