Department OverviewMid-level Scrum Master that will focus on the delivery of engineering product deliverables using Agile methodology principles and practices. The Scrum Master will be required to work closely with engineering, product management, customers, customer service, and other groups to help gather requirements, develop solutions, and debug issues.
Job DescriptionResponsibilities for the Mid-level Scrum Master:
- Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodologies and scrum practices
- Helping the product owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
- Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
- Facilitating and coordinating team meetings related to daily stand-up, planning, grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
- Must be willing to learn and develop skills and knowledge.
- Ability to finish assigned tasks with moderate guidance and supervision.
- Maintains a positive attitude throughout typical work-related challenges.
- Interfaces well with individuals outside of engineering.
- Communicates effectively to peers.
- Organizes time and workflow to maximum productivity.
- Demonstrated aptitude in recognizing and solving problems.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience on a scrum team
- Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
- Knowledgeable in various techniques
- Experience supporting agile missions to continuously improve processes, fostering transparency, inspection, and adaptation
- Experience with teams, Stakeholders, other Scrum Masters, and leaders to foster a culture that supports respect, focus, courage, openness, and commitment.
- Familiar with the following (Burndown, Velocity, defect management, etc) to help the team continuously improve.
Team Engagement:
- Coach team to be self-managed and cross-functional.
- Remove any impediments which prevent the team from completing their sprint commitments.
- Ensuring all Scrum ceremonies will be positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
- Enforce team practices that will enhance quality assurance, lower technical debt, and increase product value.
- Implement different agile techniques that will help the team continuously improve.
- Establish a strong focus on the Product Goal, Sprint Goals, and the Definition of Done.
Product Owners Workflow:
- Biweekly meetings to ensure that goals, scope, and product domains are understood by everyone on the team
- Help find techniques that will assist with Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management
- Ensure that the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog Items.
- Guide the product owner on arranging their Product Backlog to maximize value.
Basic RequirementsMid-level Scrum Master that has 2-5 years of experience in an agile scrum environment. The Scrum Master must have the following skills listed below:Required Skills:
- Jira ( create dashboards using the JQL language)
- Confluence.
- Google Sheets.
- ADO (Azure DevOps)
