What is the Global Mentorship Program?
At Micron, we are committed to lifting up our Female STEM students and giving them the tools they need to succeed. As a part of our commitment to gender diversity and inclusion, Micron is launching its FULLY REMOTE Global Mentorship Program focused on giving female students all over the world an opportunity to learn about professional world, acquire new skills, find your voice, and launch a successful career. 200 female students from different countries will be selected for this unique opportunity.
Who can apply for the program?
The program is open to all female students proficient in English, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in the following disciplines, and graduating in 2023 or 2024.

  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Data Science
  • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
  • Mathematics and Statistics


  • Materials Science


Structure of the program.

  • There is no cost to participate in the program
  • Participants will be selected by the Micron team based on applicants' resume and essay
  • The program will run in February-April 2022


  • All participants will be broken in teams of 5 students and will be assigned a Micron Mentor
  • All Mentors are successful Micron female Leaders with many years of experience
  • Each team will have 8 weekly virtual meetings and one final global virtual event upon completion of the program
  • Each team will have weekly 1-hour long Zoom calls with Micron female Mentors
  • Topics discussed during each session will vary depending on the participants' feedback but are likely to include the following:


  • Career and work-life balance
  • Secrets to professional success
  • Applying for a job, interviewing skills
  • What does it take to be a good leader?
  • Professional development and continuous learning


  • Dealing with stress
  • Having difficult conversations, receiving and giving negative feedback
  • Effective communication
  • Powerful relationship building and networking


How to apply for Micron Global Mentorship Program?
STEP 1. Write a one-page essay (no more than 500 words). The essay is mandatory and applicants without an essay will not be considered for the program. The essay must be in English.

  • In the essay, answer the following 3 questions:


  • Why are you interested in joining Micron Global Mentorship Program?
  • Why you think you should be selected for this program?
  • What do you expect from this program?


STEP 2. Come back to this page, click "Apply", and follow the application process prompts. Remember, this is not a job application!
STEP 3. Upload your resume and the essay. The essay should be uploaded in the "cover letter" section.
Micron team will review all applications and select participants for the Global Mentorship Program using the criteria below:

  • Participation in the program will be determined based only on the documents you submit. There will be no interviews.
  • Preference will be given to students with strong academic standing (high grades) and impactful essay


Participants who get selected for the Program will receive an email with additional details. Due to the high number of applicants, incomplete applications will not be considered
Requirements for participation in Micron Global Mentorship Program

  • You must be a female student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Mathematics/Statistics, or Materials Science
  • You will be graduating in 2023 or 2024
  • Proficient in English language
