Meraki is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager Leader to be responsible for leading a team of Technical Program Managers. As a Technical Program Manager Leader, you will work closely with our Hardware engineering, Software engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Support, Sales, Strategy, Finance, Legal and Operations teams to define efficient and effective processes from product conceptualization through all phases of product development. Our goal is to deliver high-value products/projects to our customers to achieve target success.

You will be responsible for the following:

Lead a team of Technical Program Managers
Define and own overall program management governance
Create and manage long-term goals for the program management team
Understand product use cases and communicate technically with Product & Engineering teams
Craft portfolio status reports and deliver executive briefings to update senior leaders and partners
Develop strong working relationships with multi-functional teams to best understand and deliver on business goals and priorities
Adhere to metrics and governance for Meraki’s process and provide inputs to process improvements

You are ideal for this role if you have:

Bachelors or higher degree in a related technical field (Electrical, Electronics Engineering/Computer Science) or equivalent experience in hardware and/or software engineering
15+ years of experience as Program Manager in software, hardware, embedded, networking, cloud technologies or products
5+ years of experience leading or mentoring program managers
Strong understanding of software / hardware development processes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Ability to influence peers, leaders, and executives to drive towards common business goals
Experience working with project planning tools (Excel, Gantt charts, Jira, Wrike, Confluence, Google Docs)
Proficient in Agile Project Management processes
Should be able to deal well with rapid changes, and feel comfortable navigating uncertain/ambiguous situations.

Overseeing Cisco’s wireless and systems manager portfolios, Jayanthi Srinivasan said her role comes with challenges — and with that comes fulfillment. “The variety keeps me both challenged and learning at all times,” Srinivasan said. Currently, one big opportunity comes in the shape of developing a team that bridges wireless cloud and non-cloud products. Mary Piontkowski’s team helps shape Meraki products, but they also find time for bonding activities like speed networking and employee spotlight presentations. Piontkowski is especially fond of the team’s “monthly gratitude sessions.” These sessions were formed organically and allow everyone the chance to contribute to a values-led culture, increase engagement and promote happiness at work. “Activities like this, where we share genuine thanks and appreciation for one another, help create a safe and warm team dynamic. We practice kindness and learn so much about each other as people,” she said.
